lol, I thought the same thing with the constraint on it. But, some people are really serious about tracking their cars, and I understand it does a really extensive job at trying to hone your lap-times, which I can understand wanting it in that scenario. But, there is a lot of aftermarket stuff that will do the same, only better. Granted, it's pretty expensive but well worth it if milliseconds can mean the difference in 1st and 4th. If I absolutely had to have something like it, I'd go ahead and use what C&D and other mag rags use. https://www.vboxmotorsport.com/store/ Relatively pricey though.

It's only good at passive skill improvement. There are better options, such as the Garmin Catalyst that will give you LIVE feedback as to your corner entry/exit speeds before AND after the corner.

The PDR is only useful for looking at post-race, which frankly, just ain't gonna happen soon enough to really learn, IMHO.

People talk about all of the data gathering it does and how you can download someone else's PDR footage and read into it. Meh. Garmin does it better and for cheaper, IMHO.

So I gave in today and dropped the PDR.

Dealer called and said GM was offering to build if I dropped the PDR. It would be their last allocation of '22 models. June 6 they start taking orders for '23 models, with '23 prices.

I fully expect a $1k-$2k price increase for '23 based on the inflated cost of raw materials we now have.

I would have liked to have the PDR, but I'd rather just have the car at this point.

I'll post more when I get a build date.
