GM card incentive?

Was looking at pricing and incentives over at nadaguides and noticed they had the following incentive listed thats good until 2023.

GM Cards With Redemption Limits Copper/Platinum And Flexible Earnings Program $1500

Does anyone know exactly what this is? To me it reads as 1500 bonus for using your gm mc points? Or Is it saying your Redemption is limited to 1500?
It's also not listed on chevys site as far as I can see.

It used to be a CapitalOne Credit card,Now its a Goldman Sachs Credit Card.
The Max is $1500 on a Camaro if I remember so you have to spend a few dollars to get the $1500 off...............JT

JT is correct. We have a GM card and used our credits and got $1200 off on my wife's Terrain 3 years ago. I'm using the card on everything I purchase to max the credit for whenever I finally get my Camaro.

I have the card as well and from what I understand there is no limit how much can be redeemed on a new GM vehicle and $1500 is capped on a used vehicle.

Back in January and February of 2019 my GM card earnings were topped off to $3,000 in earnings and the Camaro at the time was eligible for the $3,000 earnings offer. I think the $1500 off ceiling started in 2020.

It usually depends on the model. The higher priced the car the more credit you can apply. The Arcadia limit was higher than the Terrain and the Yukon more than the Arcadia.

Where did you see this information because I’m looking at my GM rewards cardmember page and it says a Gold tier member can redeem unlimited points on a NEW GM vehicle and $1000 on a CPO … Not disagreeing with you but I was planning on using all of my points when I finance my ZLE.

My Brother is buying a GM Denali today and the Salesperson said that the Most you can get for a New 2022 Denali is $1500 off from your Goldman Sachs Card.

So is it $1500 off with the Goldman Sachs Card on a new ZLE as well or the $750 you mentioned in an earlier post? Only reason I ask is because right on GM Rewards website it states

“ There is no limit to the amount of Points you can use on the purchase or lease of an eligible, new GM vehicle. ”

Thumbs down

In a calendar year, Silver Members are eligible to redeem up to $1,000 in points; Gold Members are eligible to redeem up to $1,500 in points; Platinum Members are eligible to redeem up to $2,000 in points. Not compatible with some other offers, including the GM Employee Discount Program. Excludes GMC HUMMER EVs. Dealer contribution may affect final consumer cost. Only available at My GM Rewards participating dealers for Members.

My GM Rewards is separate from My GM Rewards Cards. Credit approval required. Cardmembers are eligible for unlimited redemption. Cardmembers may redeem at any dealership.

Above is straight from the Marcus website. They changed the rules rather quickly. When Marcus first took over the GM Card this year, there was no cap. Now its kind of the same caps that were on the Capitol One GM Card.

Best way to find out what you are eligible for is use the Chevy build tool. Then at the end when you get to the review section, fill in your card information in the GE Rewards area and it will tell you what you are eligible for.

Eligibility is dependent upon the type of card you have and what you are buying. There will be a max, and when I bought mine in September, my max was $1500 on a Camaro. It was $1000 on my Colorado in February.

Yes, they do top offs on occasion (where it doubles the amount up to the GM dollars you have) but they have not done that in a while because of limited supply. That usually happens during the slow months of Jan - March.

Thank you very much for this response! Just checked out the builder and entered my GM card info … I have 143,xxx points so the Chevy builder allowed $1430 off the total so far. I will know more after the bill cycle ends on 4/20 because I’ve been using the card on all expenses just to put more towards the ZLE. Thanks to everyone’s response as well!
