New 21 ZL1 a10, Rear View camera not working, same 12v power plug on console.

Yes I can and will take it to the dealer if need be, but Im trying to see if I can get this handled at home without leaving it in the care of people who dont care about it.

Problem is the rear view camera is completely inop. Not power, no blue screen nothing. I cant seem to find the fuse location. It might be in the trunk but the manual and the underside of the trunk fuse box lid do not list it directly.

Also the 12v power plug behind the shifter also does not work. I think I found the fuse in the trunk fuse box and it is still good.

Would these be related/on the same fuse?? Im lost here and really dont want to take it to the dealer. Thanks.

Maybe the issue is there is no chip for the rear view mirror camera due to the shortage of chips.

The car was produced before that. This is a good ole fashion problem.

Why wouldn't you want the dealer to fix a problem on you car under warranty?

Because you usually leave the dealer with more problems then when you came in.

Can’t disagree with you on that unfortunately.

The fuse position should be F40. That's where I put a jumper fuse in to power my wideband when I mounted it in the dash and I immediately deactivated the rear view camera because I didn't have both fuse spots in the jumper fitted with fuses (because, dumb). Do you maybe have a jumper fuse there? Or maybe the fuse is blown...

F40 in the trunk or under the hood?

I checked F40 under the hood and it’s both there and not blown. I checked f40 in the trunk and it’s blank with no wires going to it.

After re-reading your post and seeing that you have a 17 camaro, I think you are thinking about the rear camera that comes up when you put the car in reverse. Thats not what Im talking about. Im taking about the new 19+ cars that have the camera in place of a rearview mirror. Not the back up camera. The rearview mirror inside the car attached to the windshield is a camera thats always on.

Gotcha, I didn't think about that. I did mean under the hood, sorry, passed out early last night

Did you flip the switch? I can't use the camera view because I'd need my close up glasses, so I keep it switched to conventional mirror mode. I know you're probably smarter than that, but I thought I'd ask.

About 1000 times in frustration. LOL Yes I have read and researched anything that could try and fix this, but alas its going to the dealer.

Whats up, having the same issue with my 21 2ss 1le as of yesterday

The fuse is under the hood, F42 HVAC/ISRVM/OSRVM, took me forever to find it. ISRVM stands for Inside Rear View Mirror. Its a 10amp fuse

However, the classic GM fixes didnt work (fuse pull and replace, battery disconnect)

Mine will hit the dealer next week, keep me posted if you find your issue.

Mine randomly started flickering blue, then black, then works intermittently, then stops working completely.

Keep me posted
