I don't know if it's that they don't care. I think it may have to do with inventory and public perception. Imagine if a Wild Cherry Tintcoat is on the dealer's lot and Chevy releases that there is a different color replacing WC. Does a consumer want a color that's being discontinued? I figure that they would rather see the new color and would be more drawn to buy the new color. That's why I can see GM waiting to release the new color for the Camaro. The Corvette is in a different situation with most people just happy to be in a Corvette regardless of color, given the long wait lines.

I would be perfectly ok if I had a one-year color on my hands. I originally wanted the RPG for my SS Sedan in a manual. It's one of the more rare combinations for SS Sedans. Figure about 1500 of all colors made per year, between 2014-2017 combined with a rare color and a more rare transmission.

This reminds me of the guy that ordered the C8 vette in every rare color to have the rarest car. A hideous mess, I will look for the video

Hmm, interesting that gm allowed such an order, because the Camaro has/had all sorts of interior, exterior and convertible top color combo exclusions.
