I wanted to upgrade from my 1ss 1le to a zl1 because I can finally afford one before they are gone forever. And yes I would like all the features working on a 70k car. If adding the park assist was easy in the future I would be fine with it, but not the heated/cooled seats (they are not going to give people new seats in the future). I was really looking forward to that. And I know the 1ss doesn't have these luxury options, but it was the most I could afford at the time.

what my dealer is telling me and they showed me some notice they were sent from Chevy was that the 50 dollar credit is sorta a for your trouble thing. That the dealer will be getting the retro kits in and it will be a free service once they arrive.

Also remember when you had to drive a car? you know turn around and look and use mirrors LOL. Now we are all well it doesn't have sensors to beep at me guess I wont buy it. We have become spoiled

From what I've read, all the Recaro seats have the heating and ventilation but I believe in the ss 1le they don't work because the module is missing. There is a website that sells the components for it and you just add the button to wherever u want. I believe I saw them on gen5diy website.

That may work but it should definitely come with it and sucks it's being removed.

It's only control module which is missing. My ZL1 has sensors, they just don't irritate me when I am backing up to my narrow garage... I mean, they just don't work I am not missing them that much. Camera alone is fine.

So the rear park assist is just the sensors to beep not the actual camera that pops up on the infotainment screen? If that’s the case then I don’t see a big deal. The backup camera and mirrors should be good enough for any decent driver.

Yup. Just beepers. I checked many times thru ought last week and the half empirically in my car

It isn’t anything that can’t be added later, I wouldn’t let that stop you from going to a ZL1 if you want to. I get it though, certain options are more important for some than others. For me performance comes ahead of most options.

I don’t think you can legally sell a car in the US without a functioning rear camera. I believe it is the beeping and the graphic that shows how close you are to something is disabled. I’ll find out the end of this week when I pick my car up.

Yeah, rear radar and object detection is the missing feature. The backup camera and rear view/side mirrors will still function , and I don't think I ever relied on this radar image in the cluster.
