More research is revealing the problem is related to transmission type. The only 1LT's that have moved through bayed status to delivered on the JCT website since January have been automatics(usually 10 to 14 days). These cars then tend to show up with ETA's of about 3 to 4 weeks later. All the manuals I have looked at have gone into bayed status and remained there. The last manuals I could find shipped to dealers were built in early December.

This is based on twelve vehicles(6 of each), all intended for dealers in the SW. Not all encompassing but statistically pretty solid.

So the question would appear to be, what is keeping the 6spd cars in Bayed status indefinitely?

Yes, but at least it doesn't appear to be a case of a part common with a higher volume/profit margin vehicle that is being given priority.

Some good news/bad news on the 4cyl/6sp front. 3 of the 6 cars stuck in Bayed status are now showing as being delivered on the JCT website, which I assume means they are now in the shipping part of the process.

The bad news is the three cars that have been Bayed the longest, including mine of course, are still stuck. Apparently they are using the last car in the lot, first one out as they get parts process.

My 2SS 1LE M6 has been 3800 since 3/3. Normally I think it would be bayed within a short amount of time to go for the hood wrap but it doesn’t seem to have moved from the factory lot.

Looking at some cars recently delivered or marked in transit near me, including 1LE and other vinyl optioned cars, and the ASN date and Bayed date seems to all over the place. Some move in a few days, seen a couple that took 3, 4 and 5 weeks. So I guess just keep waiting.

Just wanted to share my situation with you guys. LT1/A10, was 4B00 bayed about 5 weeks, then suddenly today it updated and was shown in transit by railroad all the way in Arkansas. I believe GM's tracking system is not that reliable because it should've shown 4200 at some point a few days ago but it never did. Just jumped from 4B00 to 4200 today. I even used the myChevrolet app to confirm it was in Arkansas and it sure was. If you can get yours activated, using the myChevrolet app is a better way to track your car.

I'm not interested in using OnStar to track the progress of my car while it travels across the country. I am only interested, right now, in getting the freaking thing out of that stupid parking lot in Lansing where it has been sitting for 46 days. Other cars virtually identical to mine built and bayed weeks later are out and being shipped.

I at least found out today that plant personnel "laid eyes" on my car on 3/2, the day after some cars were reported stolen, an audit I guess. They know the car is there, they just can't seem to give it the priority needed to get it out of there.

I feel you, my car went 3800 in late January, then stayed there nearly two months. It's at 4300 right now, but it's not clear to me when it's actually going to get on the train. Looking at Jack Cooper it still looks like it's at the Grand Rapid plant.

And we have another manual transmission car that sits for an inordinate amount of time. I'm starting to wonder if the car movers/loaders hate to drive them and concentrate on the autos until forced to do the manuals.

My dealer texted me almost 2 weeks ago and said delivery is 3/29. He texted me this morning to say it was pushed back till 4/12. Which will be 11 weeks. Sons of Bitches. haha

Hello everyone. Ordered a ZL1 1LE back in November.. Been sitting at 4B00 since Mid Feb. I'm dying lol. How do I go about confirming that my car wasn't one of the stolen on March 1st? My salesman hasn't been much help, just keeps pushing my date back. Makes me nervous.

I would be worried too if the dealer can't/won't confirm that your car was on the present and accounted for list after the incident. It couldn't hurt to ask Joe to give you an updated status. I would hate to think the system would tell him the car was still there if it had been stolen and not recovered.

That incident was over 3 weeks ago now. I imagine they’ve contacted anybody who would have been affected.
