As someone who just purchased a ZL1 and being new to this specific forum, seeing this comment just completely shut me off as a customer of yours. Yes your wheels are seemingly expensive, but maybe you should try to explain why they are worth what you are selling them for not mock a potential customer.

No monoblock forged wheel is worth $9,600 a set that’s why he can’t explain why they are worth that! A custom Taiwanese set of monoblock forged 6061 wheels are $3800 per set shipped. There is no discernible difference between the two other than choice of finishes. HRE has quite an extensive list of finish options which adds even more cost to the $9,600.

A few things have changed since I posted the initial photos of my FF04s.

First, I swapped the silver lug nuts for black. Second, I had the calipers painted red hot. I feel both changes make the wheels stand out even more.

I like the HRE Flowforms so much that I put a set of FF11s on my Corvette. They’re a heck of a nice wheel for the money in my opinion.

Man they do look great. Those calipers really pop with the red paint and open wheel design. Are those regular ZL1 or ZLE fitment? Do you have any photos from the back of the car facing forward to show the offset? Do the rears have any poke? Thanks!

Thanks. Yes, the calipers turned out great.

The HRE fitment is for the ZL1. I don’t believe the FF04s come in a 19 inch size.

There’s no poke on the rears. Here’s the best two photos I have to show the offsets.

Gorgeous wheels and car! I had those on a previous car and loved them.

Can’t wait to show off my APEX VS-5RS wheels when they arrive. Also my car is supposed to arrive this week so I’m obviously excited for that.

Beautiful! I've been running a set of the HRE 540 series for over 17 years (yes 17 years) on another, 1 of car, and wouldn't have it any other way. The price has definitely skyrocketed over the years but you definitely noticed the quality right away when you see these type of wheels. I love having the ability to repair a 3 piece wheel as well. I've had to repair a hand full of inners and outer barrels throughout the years as I seem to be a pothole magnet. And yes they jump out of nowhere out here. Lol

Now when it comes to their flow forged units, and after seeing the FF10s, I felt i was sold. They look very nice, similar to the stock ZL1, which I've been battling with. Unless they are lighter than the stock wheels, and although I love HRE, I can't see myself spending on them unless this is the case... The design is too close and the only reason I'd be getting them (minus the weight) ,if I were being brutality honest, is brand recognition/loyalty and something SLIGHTLY different.

Still debating over this one.

These do look good, but $3k + "temporary unit fee" + shipping for a set of wheels that aren't even forged (and are most likely made in China) is pretty steep, brand loyalty or not...

I don’t know the exact weight of the FF10s but if they’re similar to the FF04s the weight savings is about 7 lbs per wheel. The OEM wheels are approx 31 lbs and the FF04s are 24.6 lbs. The FF11s on my Corvette save about the same amount of weight over the base OEM wheel.

The unit fee is only 60 bucks, not a compete deal breaker.

Also, I can say for certain that only the barrels in their multi piece wheel, are outsources, the centers are forged in house. I've been to HRE personally a few times and have seen their facilities. Steep price to pay yes, but you notice the quality imo.

They do sell some sweet looking wheels indeed. One more thing I noticed is that their website is a very professional, confidence inspiring piece of work, so I have no problem believing you about their products (that I have no personal experience with). Still too expensive for me, though
