I'm also in the market to buy an '22 SS 1LE. I have 7 dealerships watching for an allocation. I suspect one of those will get an allocation soon, but it has been a few weeks and nothing has came through for any of those dealers.

It's easy to find allocations for a ZL1 or an SS, but it seems the 1LEs in either trim are limited at the moment.
Thank you sir.

Yeah, from what I've heard, it's the rear spoiler that is the constraints right now. Perhaps it's more parts than that now but who knows.

I just dislike dealerships who are saying they have allocations but don't place the order for a very long time until they obtain one. It's a mess!

Ordering is certainly a mess right now. I really dislike the allocation process in general. From the customer perspective, it's terrible. I wish all sold orders were first in, first out based on part availability, not dealership allocation.

Genesis was honest about not having an allocation. They also submitted my order right away and emailed me a copy from the GM Order Workbench with details, order number, etc.

I was surprised with how fast mine made it. I wonder how my patience would've held up if I had decided to get on the Vette waiting list.

Agreed sir! Not to mention some dealers act like they have you over a barrel when the car gets delivered.

I had to ask my dealer for an order number and all that. From then, they knew I knew the process and changed their tune a bit.

Yes I asked if they had allocation and the manager said they do. So hopefully he wasn't trying to just sell me on it. I'm not worried though it was only a $500 refundable deposit to place an order.

No way really? That is rough I was under the impression that supply issues were getting better?

Not bad, typically it's 1k from what I've experienced.

I have ordered a 22 ZL1 1LE in August 2021 and I'm still waiting for an allocation at status 1100.. My dealer tells me, I'm first in line.. But with the current constraints on the ZL1, my hopes are low..

When will the 23 model be released?

Which dealer did you go with?

My dealer told me the other day, orders for MY23 happen in April and they start building "or should I say NOT building" them in June.

Ordered my 2022 ZL1 back on Jan 21st and still hoping for allocation to happen soon. Just went with black as it's the only color I was sure I would love. Added the PDR and hoping it doesn't cause the order to be slowed down with the chip shortages.

Looks like most people have been around 3 months for non 1LE's but it seems like I will be longer than that.

Goodluck man. Me personally, I've always asked the dealer beforehand if they had an allocation, most are up front, others not so much.

From what I've been reading, if the order hasn't been picked up by now, even some that have, it will turn into a 2023 unit.

So I placed an order (into the line) at my local dealership yesterday fro a 22 ZL1 1LE wanted Wild Cherry and the dealer said that color was no longer available according to the order system - ?

So I changed colors no big deal but - what are the chances this order will see the light of day for 2022 ...?

is it common for a dealer to just stop answering / communicating with you after the order is placed??
