no track time, had a 20 GT500 CFTP at the time (just traded it on a 22 R8), and some other cars so I really didn't care. but you're right, they are different enough. In the end, I am glad I didn't get the 1LE because I don't think I would have liked driving it.

It's like pretty good track car, but mostly GT/daily vs BALLLSSS TO THE WALLLSSSS track weapon. I wouldn't want ZLE even if I could "afford it", because I want a daily.

Sorry if it sounded as a knock to pick the ZL1 over the ZLE … didn’t mean that at all. Both cars are amazing beasts! To each their own and that’s the beauty of this hobby. These car companies are competing and are putting out some of the best performance cars ever seen with many options for everyone’s taste. I’m coming from a Z/28 that was a barebones race car so I’m biased. It’s good to be alive today in the performance car world

I've put nearly as many miles in 2 months on the ZLE...its SO much more of a drivers car, but it is a car not everyone can handle or would like.

Everyone who doesn't have it is basically gonna make it sound like it is worthless trash. Just like the mentality with any option. If it's not on my car then its crap.
PDR is amazing just having it there even if you don't use it often. Its a cool feature and I'm glad mine came with it. I never ordered my ZL1. It was already ordered with every available option in 2017. I would have bought it even if it didn't have nav and PDR. Matter of fact, I didn't even realize it had PDR or even know what PDR was until a few weeks after I bought the car. But boy am I happy it has it. I use it sometimes and then just watch the video and I enjoy it. Nav is awesome too. I've never updated mine and it is spot on after 5 years of ownership. I put in an address and it takes me right there to the door. So not for nothin, if you're considering it, then you're likely not gonna be happy without it. So I say get it. Having it and not wanting it is better than wanting it and not having it. |

Then something was severely wrong with the one you bought. No ZL1s, unless it is more than obviously screwed up, beat TF up, a lemon, damaged, or has half it's engine misfiring, none of these cars are "boring" . And unless every car you've owned were exotic Supercars, Ultracars, Hypercars, C6 ZR1s, C7 Z06s, or C7 ZR1s or other high end exotics, then no, a regular ZL1 was not the most boring car you've ever owned. Yours had something wrong with it.

** to get back on track some. I've found the app "Track Addict" is pretty accurate. If you grt a phone mount, you could also use your phone to record video.
