Rotofab install question
Sup folk
For those who have installed a Rotofab, there is section that is taken from the OEM elbow which connects to the breather tube. From what I've read and seen on install videos, the clamp is a 1 time use type of deal and pretty much gets destroyed upon removal. Does anyone know if that's a serviceable part where I can get a replacement? I've tried to search but it seems I may need to purchase the entire elbow. Anyone know? Thanks |

Hey Mac, why are you trying to replace that particular piece? Most people just destroy it and move on, no need to reuse it.

I would love to install this cia after the break in period (for sound) but not at the expense of a dealer taking note, albeit a small chance. I'm likely overthinking this but you see where I'm located...... Johnny |

You can go to a Auto parts store and get a small clamp that can be used to secure that elbow thingy in the stock elbow. Most dealerships won’t frown on a CAI unless you do a tune. I don’t ever plan to reinstall my stock CAI on my ZL1 because the Roto-Fab is so much better!

I used a small autoparts store clamp, too, and it works fine. You COULD find those clamps and crimper on Amazon, but IMO it's overkill. I don't blame your OCD (I have it, too), so you can find what you need on Amazon, but, again - it's not completely necessary to work as it needs to.

Thank you all.
Yeah, I'm thinking to far ahead but that's just how I am. I just wouldn't want a service tech to notice the different clamp in the event I need to take er in. |

That's called an Oetiker clamp and from some of the posts I've seen on here no one can seem to find the exact size, even in a kit. But like stated, just use a hose clamp or something. They're likely to not even notice or realize it if they did. Some on here claim they have gotten theirs off without damaging it and can slip it back on if they need to. Not me though. Color mine mangled!
