Battery charger
I have a 2017 ZL1 and bought a battery charger. Do I connect it straight to the battery in the trunk or use the jumper posts under the hood I see in the manual? Thank you

Trickle charger I assume? If so it really does not matter where you hook it up

Use the battery in the trunk directly if you want to set up a permanent connection with a plug, otherwise you can safely just use the underhood terminals for the occasional hookup. I do the latter.

For a coupe, underhood is much easier. No fiddling with paneling required.

I have a permanent connection from under the hood with an extended cord snaked so that I can plug it in thru the front without having to open and close the hood.

Can you post some pics of your set up? I am just scared that if my trunk isnt open, i will forget to disconnect and drive off.

Pics are nearly impossible since it’s hidden with the exception of the connection under the hood and it exiting thru the front. Don’t be concerned about forgetting to disconnect it and driving off other than the embarrassment from showing up with the chord dangling from your front end.

I connected my charger leads to the battery then ran the cord through a small hole I made in the panel, this way I can pull it out when using charger and push it back in so only the cover shows when not in use

Came back from vacation and it was deader than dead. Nothing worked, zero, nada. Put on trickle charge for 20 hours using Chevy's OEM charger, which had zero effect on the battery (Antigravity) charge, with the leads hooked-up to the posts under hoop. Put a regular 12v charger on it for a few hours ... vroom

Last time mine was dead (because I forgot to hook up the trickle charger and had a bunch of lighting left on) I started the car with a jump pack, drove it for a good 30+ minutes then came home and hooked up the trickle charger

Now that it starts, I'll leave it on 2-amp charge for a day or so.
