Steal effort level?

Hello forum,
My Charger was almost stolen today - known thingy - somebody tried to reprogram keys, but apparently they failed so I still have a car with broken window and key-fobs not working... Question: Is there any backdoor in Camaros to compel those f......ers to steal Camaro? I am currently in order for 2SS 1LE and ZL1 in different dealerships (just to see which one gets picked up first for production). But I am getting anxious if I should really go to my work in even more expensive car now...
Dodge reprograming keys is known problem, and I bet this is not last time my window is smashed...
Anything remotely similar in Camaros? Do they have a chance to steal a car with simple access to harness inside?

Charger sold! Better to sell, than waiting to be stolen...

I have an owl cam. It sends all data to the cloud via LTE. It also lights interior lights when someone tries to get into the car without the bluetooth paired connection. They may be able to steal it, but they will be ID'd. And the Camaro can be equipped with an anti-theft device that will thwart about 99% of all thefts.

I'm not aware of known backdoors or hacks. Key reprogramming on the Camaro requires either both original fobs or, if these aren't present, a physical key and lasts 30 minutes in this latter case. The key activation in the door can probably be forced with some mechanical advantage, but even then the car makes you wait 3*10 minutes before it accepts a new fob.

Never heard of this being a problem with the 6th Gen Camaro.

On Star, not only tracks the vehicle, but allows it to be disabled. They aren't going far.

Key fob reprogramming for theft is also a non-issue for these cars, in any case.

Sounds like there is nothing extraordinary, like for Dodges, where recently I read news that Michigan State Police made a statement that Dodges are stolen in huge rates, mainly by easy key fob reprograming. Dodge then implemented Enhanced Valet Mode, which is dumb AF - need to turn it on every time you go out of your car - few clicks on screen plus put PIN for later disengage. I didn't even bother to get that installed, because it only limits power to the rolling speed... And I knew I will never remember to turn this stuff on. 2022 model years have now BCM with locked key fob reprogramming - complete hard lock - not even dealership can reprogram fobs. You lose keys - they will give you discount on new ECU with keys... I hope I will get that after this incident.
I had camera - front and inside view, but connected so it only turns on by ignition, so nothing recorded. Now I know I need something which records every time there is any motion or vibration and shoot it to the cloud.

Oh, and I will never ever gonna stand next to a truck - I think that was the biggest problem. My car was standing on a parking, after my office gates, with few good quality cameras around. Window was smashed from the side I had a truck.

So pro tip - never stand near truck, unless you are sure there is another camera looking at your car.

Nice! I need to get one of those.

When I first saw this thread that was my first thought. I already have a built in theft deterrent in my 1LE. A manual transmission.

BTW I wear my "Save The Manuals" t-shirts from Car and Driver all the time.
