Replace DS DRL plastic piece
Hello,
Does anyone have a guide on how to replace the black plastic part that holds the DRL assembly in place with the air scoop opening as part of it?

This is all I found in the service manual, that piece is considered part of the front bumper.
Based on the picture it seems to be detachable by releasing the plastic clips in the rear, once the front bumper comes off.

Have you ever had one of these bumpers off? I haven't had to do that yet!

You'll find several youtube videos about it, here's a recent one from all girls garage that shows the removal of this very trim piece around the DRL (for installing carbon fiber replacements): https://youtu.be/KvJLOUpo4l8 Let me know if you'd like me to post up the service manual illustration for bumper removal, too, but again, it's relatively easy to figure out.

Hope you'll be able to pull it off (sorry, couldn't resist the pun), those plastic tabs looked similar to those tough ones I had to finagle on the rear bumper to get the valance off.

I got access to it by pulling fender liner and it wouldn't budge, gave up! It was really in there and even after releasing the clips it wouldn't even wiggle, odd.
I wound up cleaning up both the wheel well areas and swapped in some new brake pads while I was there just to feel like it wasn't a complete waste of time...

Where can you find the replacement part? I remember seeing on a vendors site at one time a while back this part in carbon fiber and can't seem to find it anywhere anymore??

Remove the entire front end......then be prepared to have sore fingers and thumbs the day after removal and re-installation......
Lot of pages but this thread may be of some help.... https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=508925

First time I did it I collected an impressive array of scratches from those sharp edges under the bumper/fender Learning where exactly to reach and how far does help.

I removed a million screws it seems like just to pull out the inner fender liner on the driver side to get to that panel. I cannot imagine what it takes to remove the whole bumper...
