I've gotten many compliments on both my Camaro's. My 16 ss with Magnuson 2650 and my new 2022 Lt1. Both lowered on Phastek springs but lots of hp difference for sure

I have those same wheels on my '21 RS, and they have gotten some direct compliments, but I wasn't thrilled about the black center caps - they looked too "plasticky" to me. I swapped them out for these brushed-finish ones like I had on my '16 RS. I even got a "nice wheels" shout-out when I was taking this picture at a gas station.

I agree a 6th gen ZL1 will get less attention than a C8, but my '21 ZL1 gets its fair share of compliments, questions, comments, head turns, pics, etc. out in the wild and at car meets.

Crush orange 21 1LE gets compliments from Mustang and Dodge owners all the time. I hang out with about every American car made most of the time.

I can see the ZLE getting a lot of attention as it has all the looks of a track monster, but my ZL1 while it's had a few compliments here and there. I don't think anyone suspects what's lurking under the hood, and I have no problem with that as I'd like to fly under the radar, even as a Camaro. Part of me would love to debadge the ZL1 and maybe put 1LT badges in its place. I'd love for owners of Mustang GTs and GT350s to wonder if something is wrong with their car after getting beat by a 4-cylinder camaro Exhaust and the SC might give it away though. I guess I can tell them that I got the sound by punching a bunch of holes into the muffler with a screwdriver...(Borrowed that line from a guy over on the GTO forums )

Do you plastic deep the lug nuts in black?

I got a lightly-used set of center caps off eBay because the dealer price seemed kinda high to me. The auction listing is expired, but the title includes the number 9595010, which is the number on the back of these. I think that is just an inscription on the plastic backplate though rather than a part number, because a web search for that brings up all kinds of center caps.

As for the lug nuts, those are not dipped, they are the McGard black chrome lug nuts, part number 64034. McGard also has a black chrome set with a slightly shorter lug nut that fits this application. The one odd-looking nut in the picture, to the right of the center cap, is a GM locking lug with an aftermarket nylon cap on it to cover the lock.

and cut out the Chevy bowtie from a piece of 3M black vinyl but I find them precut on EBay

Looks good! I think I saw someone who had painted in the Camaro lettering at the edge of the rim, but can't recall if it was in the forums or just something that popped up in a web search...

lol, honest question here when the Tesla guy rolled down his window were you thinking he was going to ask you if you wanted to play?


I actually took the Camaro for an errand and to stretch her legs (I can't wash it till the front film cures) and parked in a 30 minute parking spot in front of the shop I was visiting. Exiting the store, seeing some of the stares the car was getting as it sat parked made me feel a little embarrassed. I saw 2 people walk past it with their head just locked in as they walked past.

Oh and I did see a white Camaro on my drive home and gave him the obligatory rev/drive-by. Based on the front end, it looked like it was maybe a Z/28.
