Supercharger bearings wear out in ~ 100k miles and the resulting radial slop in can take out the rotors and in some cases the housing. My point is, the blower doesn't care how you drive the car, it just cares about how fast you spin it and over revving the motor is going to result in a catastrophic engine failure well before any blower damage occurs.

these cars are meant to be driven hard, absolutely no need to baby these cars. you dont need to treat it like fragile china. you know even gm warranties these at the track right? that kind of driving is 1000x more "hard" than what you can do in the last few days before you trade it in.

if you are going to baby the car, you might as well get a slow car, if you are going to drive it the same way.
Sorry still on edge from other forums where everyone is just a jerk it seems sorry for assuming . Thanks for the info.

Oh it already is. 8 months ago I couldnt find a c8 for anything. then i walked into a dealer and got one off the floor at msrp. then slowly every chevy dealer for 50 miles around me had 3 used ones and 2 new ones in the show rooms. Now in my small area of western nc I know of about 25 of them driving around. Once the Z06 hits C8s are gonna be a dime a dozen everywhere used and all those people who paid overages are gonna be so upside down. same with the ZL1 i have coming in. i took my time found one at Msrp. anyone paying over for these either dose not care about money or hasn't realized they are gonna really drop in value soon. economy aside once the start sitting everywhere used its gonna be hard to get a mark up out of them.

True, the only difference with the Camaro is they are going to stop making them soon so that will play a role to some extent, especially since the V8 options for enthusiasts are going to be slim pickings soon. Dodge is done in a year or so, Ford may have one more run of the ICE Mustang but their EV Mustangs are selling better.

I went with the ZL1. If I get the itch for a C8 I know they will be around for a while plus I think I would want one of the other trims besides the Stingray.

The butt ass ugly Mach E atrocity? If that's true I'd have to see those numbers to believe it. Or people are just dumber than I thought. And I don't even like Mustangs in general...

I don't like it either. Latest report I have seen is close to 50% of Mustangs now are EV. They would sell even more if they could produce more, all EV automakers are limited by battery production.

“ and, remember, it's an SUV that can accommodate five people and all their stuff.” I’m sorry but that’s not a Mustang.

Ford never intended for the Mach E to be sold to Mustang coupe buyers. It is using the Mustang brand to build a broader portfolio of Mustang vehicles including a crossover (Mach E), an upcoming sedan, the coupe/fastback sports car, and eventually an EV sports coupe. They’re doing the same thing with F150 and Bronco. Since the Mach E is directed more to people who buy Escape or Edge, there’s no doubt it’s gonna sell a lot more than the Mustang coupe. There are just that many more people shopping for that type of vehicle than are shopping for sports coupes.

I totally get it. Some will think it is genius to leverage the Mustang name and others, mostly enthusiasts, hate it. The Ford CEO seems to have a lot of respect for Tesla, while GM just seems totally annoyed by Tesla.

I just hope automakers keep creating vehicles for enthusiasts.
