I know it's an old thread, but I suppose this is the right place to ask. Ember, as you said those screws go into a metal speed clip (or speed fastener). Do you or someone else know the part number of those clips? Or maybe something similar that I can buy on eBay that should do the job as well?

I guess they should look something like that:

i would use the factory bracket and screws they just drill a couple of holes and put rivets in the plate so they think its riveted.
