Borla ,magnaflow, and others only make axle back exhaust system
Has anyone with a vert, installed a cat back on The 6th gen? I know there’s cross bracing that Will interfere with 3” pipes, and oem pipes are actually Flattened were they intersect with bracing.

Maybe buy the regular cat back, take some measurements, and have a shop crush the piece in the same spots lol.

I have not seen any catbacks for the Camaro, they all say "not for convertible".
Not sure on your goals, but some modding as mentioned above may be the easiest option. If it were me, I would just get an axle-back. Not sure the catback is worth the extra coin.

I’ve been under car, I don’t see why borla/magnaflow, or others
Can’t make a catback, there is only one issue with a vert, and that’s The crimping/ flattened part at the rear, to make it fit under the Frame stiffening struts, they could do the same with there 3” piping. |

Do not crush the exhaust, i installed a borla atak cat back on my 2021 convertable. It will fit ,only issue if you hit a bump you will hear it knock the cross member. Still worth it i find.

Noah, thx for info , I’m assuming the exhaust pipe goes
Over that structural frame crossover, just as in oem Configuration, how much clearance between actual Exhaust pipe and structural frame crossover?, and did U have any other issues with install? Thx Last edited by Drnick; 03-20-2022 at 09:10 AM. Reason: Other |
