I think the danger here in general is if we don't "protect the fringes", so to speak, the "core" gradually becomes the new fringe and so on, until there is not much left. One's use of language, especially if said language is their mother tongue, correlates to their mental acuity and ability to form coherent thought patterns. This can be (and hopefully is) developed throughout one's lifetime, to a decreasing extent with age, of course.

A few typos here or there, which represents your comment, are clearly insignificant, but a consistent misuse of possessives and other constructs, coupled with a lack of interest in correcting them, can easily be a sign of a similar lack in the above departments. I think that is what those who tend to point these out are objecting to.

(BTW English is my second language, if I could learn to spell and speak it in school with little exposure to native speakers, anyone can.)

OP, sorry about the offtopic comment, I'll now steer clear of these and only comment on the discussion of automatic vs manual trans, if that

We forgive you. Now back to the topic, do you prefer a Manuel or an autometric trendsmission?

It is pretty safe to say at this point that the A10 and pretty much all modern automatic transmissions are now technologically superior to a manual transmission. The disadvantages of the A10 are cost and lack of driver engagement. The decision just really depends on how you plan to use the car and which transmission will put the bigger smile on your face.

Performance = A10
Fuel Economy = A10
Ease of Use/Daily Driving/Traffic = A10
Driver Engagement = M6
Cost = M6

I saw this video comparing an SS A10 vs. ZL1 M6. When I first saw this video I was asking myself if there was really much performance advantage of the ZL1 M6 over a less expensive SS 1LE with the A10. Something to consider if you are purely focused on the best bang for the buck.

https://youtu.be/i-AbC6yps4A?t=189

The A10 in the ZL1 really helps to maximize the performance of the LT4 as seen in this nice pass here with a stock car.

lol, just a SLIGHT weight advantage for the SS, and having the guy in the SS do the countdown automatically gives him an advantage as he stomps it as he says "Three", where the guy in the ZL1 is reacting to the "Three".

Yeah I noticed that as well but you would think the extra 195hp would make up the difference a bit quicker but that tall 1st gear can be tricky. Once both cars are moving is should be a different story.

Same with typos. Everyone makes them.

The site is too small, with relatively limited activity, to be so rigid.
Fail. You're.

P.S. I love my A10 but have never been much of a stick driver.

Every time I see the layout of the replies from him I think I'm fixing to read an epic poem...then I attempt to read it and give up.

So let's put it back on its rails...

I love automatics (new one, in muscle cars), and I have one in my 392. But this is great to have in fun family car, not in purely fun car. I get that A10 will be faster on track and all, but I am not chasing seconds, I am all for joy ride. For that - Manuel.

Well said I agree. I would never buy another pickup with a manual that’s for sure so I get it. When I was younger even my trucks had to be a manual, transmissions have come a long way since then. Even my truck had a 10 speed now.
