If you've done this a 100 times you don't need to review any steps, but if you haven't done it at all or only done it a few times, you can't write too much detail into these steps. After all, it seems the OP has never done it

I agree. I have done this well over 200 times on my car and I don't even think about it.

Well i give up, my car is not everyone else's. I've attempted multiple times as what has been suggested, still will not start unless I unplug the battery. Its the norm for me to re flash.

I'd say between all my Cars since the 2016 1ss I have for sure flashed these cars well over 140 times between dyno and reflashes at the track or on the street logs. Last year at the May NMCA I probably flashed my C7 at least 12 times in 3 days after logging every pass running 2 classes. Could do it in my sleep. I finally had to delete some downloads.

4) select write calibration
5) after writing process is done, turn off ignition for 10 seconds
6) turn ignition on for 10 seconds -do not start car
7) turn ignition off for 10 seconds
8) start car.

With this sequence, I have never had any problems.
Ck engine light should be on indicating that its in service mode to do flash. This is exactly how I do mine as quoted above. If after I flash and do not go into acc mode key on key off then back on then it will start. If i just turn off then back on and try to start all it will do is clunk once. Then just turn off and back on hit break and it will start

Also on my vert. almost every time I flash it gives me a lost communication with tcm I think. So Iv got in the habit of clearing codes after a flash while Im still in service mode,in the scanner. My coop did not do that. No problems I just clear it out.

I have always done it as I described it and never had any issues. Just to be clear, the "ignition on" selection is not the same as the "accessory on" selection. But, if your car is accepting the write with your method, I wouldn't worry about it.

Happened to me every time my Tuner would flash a new tune. Would not start and if it did it ran like crap. Unhook the battery and all is good.
