2016 2ss 6sp salvage title Frankenstein fix

Hello

Just bought my first Camaro. It does have a salvage title because of a passenger front fender bender. The guy I bought it from was a second hand owner and didn't know much about the repairs. It runs and drives great! I'm not getting any codes or anything. I had my head under the hood looking around and I saw some electrical tape bundles and explored further and found this hacked "fix".Name: IMG_0936.jpg

It looks like a relay switch and something else (I have no clue ) attached.
The wires run down the side of the radiator which I don't think is the correct location. If I followed it correctly, one goes to the magnetic ride control sensor and I'm not sure from there.

Any help in figuring out what this is would be very helpful. Thanks guys

My guess is someone tried to bypass/tinker-with/sharpshoot/jury-rig this system, if the '16 SS even has it (?)

The original thread is here https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...=506628&page=2 and this came from the last post which was just a week ago or so. There's some handy diagrams attached to the post too.

Calibration Criteria
Note: Remove any excess weight and do not sit in the vehicle during the headlamp leveling sensor learn procedure. Any additional weight will cause the calibration of the front and rear suspension position sensors to be inaccurate and affect the operation of the headlamp leveling system.
The headlamp leveling sensor learn procedure must be performed after a suspension position sensor has been removed/reinstalled/replaced, or if the headlamp leveling control module has been serviced. The learn procedure will set the front and rear suspension position sensors home value. This value is used by the headlamp leveling control module to determine the movement of the front and rear suspension systems. The headlamp leveling control module compares the information from both suspension position sensors and adjusts the headlamp leveling as needed.

Calibration Procedure
Ignition ON/vehicle in Service Mode.
Install a scan tool.
Navigate to the Configuration/Reset Functions menu of the Headlamp Control Module.
Select Configuration/Reset Functions.
Select Headlamp Leveling Sensor Learn procedure and follow the directions displayed on the screen.

Those wires and relay need to be covered insulated better. Thats an underhood fire waitin to happen.

I'm thinking it might be an engine cooling fan resistor? What do you think?Name: Screen Shot 2022-02-23 at 7.56.06 AM.png

Just duct tape it and you'll be fine.

Can you peel back the wrap on the harness side a bit to see what color the wires are? Would also be good to know if there’s any wires tucked in there that they didn’t bother connecting.

Right front position sensor should have 3 wires: yellow/white, black/gray, and brown/red.
RF strut actuator should have 2 wires: brown and black/white.
