I've noticed a trend for winter in Michigan. I've lived here for almost 20 years.

Winter is coming later and later.

So we are 50-70 degrees on uncommon occasions all the way to December. But we usually get hit by January/Feb and it can and has lasted until April.

20 years ago. No, we got snow in October/November and it lasted all the way to March.

So we CAN still drive our cars through September even most of October as of the last few years at least.

Throw a dart at the map. Wherever it lands, you have bad weather (and "don't want to go outside") for three months of the year. The difference is which three months.

I've thought about moving south myself. I just don't know anyone. But I think I'd have to go to Ft Worth/Dallas myself.

I need to be in metropolitan areas for work. Can't afford to move in rural parts. No jobs for what I do.

I figure Dallas is a good compromise between Stupid High Humidity of FL. And I'd rather spend time in 110 degree weather in Las Vegas than spend an hour in Ft. Lauderdale FL in 80 degree summer weather.

Guess I am more of a dry heat person.

Mother lets me use it on bad days.

Just bought a house so can't get a second more reasonable vehicle yet.

i only moved to this frozen tundra because my wife hated living in the england.
so for 17 years had to live in probably one of the most boring countries on the planet.
my last day of work will be july 2029 then it's a one way ticket to southern spain.

Good deal and 93 weeks severance is pretty good package. Glad you landed on your feet in a nice area. Decent weather most of the year is a plus.

If you drive a Camaro, you'll also need a pickup or SUV, or you'll stay home a lot

Depends on where you live, I do just fine with a camaro and an econobox down south. It never snows.

Right, but this thread is about driving Camaros in cold snowy weather in northern climes.

One of the guys that lives in my complex has a C8 that he leaves parked outside. The complex offers garages for rent, but for some reason he's content with leaving that poor car sitting outside in freezing weather with what I suspect are "Summer Only" tires. Oh well, I haven't taken my new Camaro out since Tuesday because the weather hasn't been cooperative. This weekend we're getting back into the 60s. I suspect I'll be putting some more miles on her this weekend.

Yes, the weekend looks nice in Denver too, but I've got to reinstall my TB and see where my ECM/TCM tunes are before I take a spin

At least the stabilitrac in the camaros is not overly sensative. It'll let the rear end slide out a good 10-20 degrees before it does anything so you can still have a bit of fun sliding around in the snow.

Exactly..! I had family that moved down to FL a few years ago. They have moved back. They said they can't stand only being able to turn off their air-conditioning for 2 weeks of the year. I can deal with the cold a heck of a lot better then I can deal with the heat and humidity.
