If you try to drive the GT500 like the Hellcat you'll quickly notice the lack of low-end torque after. The low end torque is still adequate but keep the revs up starting around 5k rpm and up in any gear to release the beast! The power delivery is so smooth and it just keeps pullin! Very impressive for a factory stock car with a warranty for the price.
Like I said before this is the first car I've owned where the factory power is satisfying enough. That is of course subjective.
You'll find the DCT and brakes are on another level as well.
It has the 3.73 gear ratio so that might help on the low end...if it hooks that it. I'm dying to see how it runs!!

The 3.73's help but the gears are still pretty long due to the DCT gearing, but there's plenty of power to pull through the gears!

You know, speaking of which...all the guys who used to laugh at Camaro sales and the "huge discounts" to buy one and who all bragged about Shelbys retaining their values are all the same guys who are now mad at ADMs and want Ford to step in and do something about markups, lol!!
Oh how we all wish the discounts were back. I miss the days of 20% off red tag events

If I have it shipped to me here in Omaha then I should have it by Saturday afternoon. I'll have to test it out. I'll update you guys then.

I think those days are long gone. We're probably never gonna see the days when you can get discounted Hellcats and ZL1s and other such cars. Most likely the manufacturers and dealerships will build and price the top tier cars out of the price range of most of us while the lower tier cars will have the better deals and discounts attached. It's just a guess. But seeing how much money the top tier cars are fetching I think it is a safe guess. People done showed GM and Ford and others what they're willing to pay which in turn gives them a good estimate on value. We will have to see.

And Ford just increased MSRP on the 2022 GT500 by about $4200. LOL!! Which is likely also gonna affect the pricing of the used Shelbys and probably even the 20s and 21s on the used market. They are not adding anything new or additional. It is just a $4200 increase in price for the same ole stuff. Perhaps this is Ford trying to get in on that extra money from markups. Or perhaps this is Ford's way of putting an end to the markups.

Either way the Mustang guys brought it on themselves. They were all defending markups a few years ago with statements like "it is worth the extra money". Well Ford listened and agreed and is now directly charging them that extra money. This is why you never let on what you're willing to pay for something. And for all their support and defending it, they sure are in an uproar over it now. My how things change. But who am I to talk? LOL!!

About 6 yrs ago I had the opportunity to buy a manual SS for 20% off msrp, but felt I needed a more practical car.

Considering pricing these days, and the fact that GM still hasn't released the MSRP of the C8 Z06, I'm gonna take a stab and say the price will be over 6 figures for the lowest trim. I mean, some have paid 6 figures for a 1LT C8. With all the performance the Z06 will have I can definitely say a $120K MSRP is reasonable. However I also think they should come standard with heated/vented seats, heated steering wheel, PDR, Nav, and some other features at minimum, even for the 1LZ. With all those features and the performance $120K entry price is a solid deal and anyone who can afford it (not me, lol) would not complain.

Maybe without all those features as standard a better price would be around $110K. But for sure there will be markups of $10K minimum. At $120K MSRP I doubt there will be many who are willing to pay extra.

The Shelby will be here on Friday. I'll do a comparison video between it and my modded ZL1. Although it isn't quite fair, I do think it'll be good to see how they compare since a lot of modded ZL1 guys might be considering switching over.

I bet you're not going to sleep much the next few days HAHA. That's really exciting.

I put my name on the list for a ZL1 myself last week, I have a long long wait but am also really excited.

Unfortunately I had a change of plans. Sometimes dealing with these transport companies is a PITA. I can't get these guys to do a simple transport of the vehicle. So I'm just gonna have to wait until I get back to NJ. It's only 4 more weeks until I'm back home so I can wait. Plus after thinking about it, there is no sense in spending the money to have it transported over 1100 miles just to spend money again to send it back that way in 4 weeks. So for now I'll just have to keep watching YT videos and listening to sound clips.

I already bought a JLT cai for it. This thing is huge...but it is no tune required. LOL!! I'll post pics in a bit.

Well 4 weeks is not too bad, still tough when you're excited.

Trucking is a huge issue right now, I used Montway 2.5 years ago and had a great experience. They even covered a new windshield($700) when a rock hit the SUV, and their policy does state they are not responsible for that.

I would use them again in a heart beat, just hope the issues we have now are not still persisting when I take delivery of my ZL1.

I was lucky and found a base GT500 in middle Alabama in late December. Short drive to pickup and $1200 over MSRP. One week afterward, I got a call from a dealer that the 22 ZL1 I ordered in November was on the truck for next day delivery. My last words to the dealership in November were to call me as soon as they received an allocation. No call or contact for over a month, so I jumped on the GT500 when I had the chance. I can’t afford two toys, so someone got an unexpected call and now owns the WCT A10 I wanted. The GT500 just went over the break-in miles and I finished ceramic coating. I’m headed to SGMP dragstrip in a few weeks to see what I can do with 760hp on factory stock tires without any BS.

That was how I bought my Callaway in November 2016 and some poor guy bought it at a Mecum auction in October (yes it was televised) for just as much as I bought it new...
