I don't know.
The one time I was witness in a criminal case the detectives said they planned to stake out the place where the perps almost just got caught. I said, "Do you really think they would go back to where they just almost got caught?"
The detective said, "You just wouldn't believe how unbelievably stupid these people can be."
Never forgot that!

Here's an overview of changes by year.

Transmission/Differential Information

Colors by Year

Hopefully this answers the original question in some way.

The first year for the A10 was 2017, and only on the ZL1.
The ZL1 was not available in 2016.
If you ordered the optional automatic in the ZL1, it was the A10. The A8 has never been available in the ZL1.

In other models, IIRC, there was a year or two where the A8 was the "standard" optional unit if ordering an auto, but you could option the A10.

Is the "magnetic ride control" worth adding on, or not really?

Bumbleboy92, you are the man, thank you so much I never really noticed, but apparently there is even a 10L60 transmission, interesting. One thing you might want to add is a remark that red background indicates option deletion in your first table.

I can't wait to see a message from the amazing 2018 addition to my trim, the washer fluid sensor Nearly 4 years in and no message, well at least everyone can tell how often I use the wipers, heh.

I have it on my 2SS and prior to that I drove a 6th gen Camaro without it. With MRC, there is a tangible ride difference between modes, which is cool and sometimes helpful, especially on lower quality pavement, but IMO it isn't a true "game changer" option, non-MRC cars don't ride like "crap". I never regretted the $1600 I paid for it, and I'm sure it would yield even more benefits if I tracked the car.

Thank you!! I added a note in the file and will update the photo when I get home.

I've definitely needed that washer fluid sensor a few times but then again I just pulled the lever and knew it was out of fluid without the message lol!

I have FE3 shocks with Eibach Pro springs on my car and while I did get a noticeable better feeling in corners and maneuverability, the ride is absolutely trashed I also have 110k miles so I chalk up a lot of issues to age haha

I really want to test drive a stock SS and then a MRC equipped car, maybe one day I'll contemplate the MRC question but for now I'll stick with the nice control and bumpy ride. It's either that or spending $1k+ on coilovers

The roads here are trash and it's all hills never flat ground. Like, the roads here are literally destroyed with holes everywhere, and the main highway is just all hilly with a lot of bumps. So, idk if mrc is worth it for me considering it will be expensive to replace the suspension components when the roads here wear on them rather quickly? Im used to my rides being bumpy where you feel that kadoosh straight into your ass and lower back to begin with, so.

The tech is definitely the biggest change outside of the A8->A10 change. Wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto was added in 2021 I think? The infotainment update was also pretty large, with much improved screen refresh rate as well as a fresh interface.

A# and M# is common short-hand for either an Automatic and number of gears, or a Manual and again, number of gears. Looks like the 2019 started the A10.
Well the 2019 front end for MOST colors was hideous because part of the bumper was BLACK on ALL colors. Interesting fact was I bought this 2019 for LESS than what I would have paid for 2018 because the market was VERY IFFY on the styling change at the time However if you had a BLACK car and blacked out the chevy emblem then they DID MAKE for a decent looking car like BELOW:

Tough call, but one that only you can make. Worth the bucks for me, but that's my personal perspective.

On the one hand, OEM replacement cost for a single MRC shock is ~$400 per piece vs ~$95 for non-MRC counterparts. Not particularly cheap, and that's an understatement.

However, and especially in tour mode on a non-1LE car, you will mostly just hear the bumps and not feel them, whereas in track mode your rear end will surely get some "road input". MRC can independently adjust each of the four shocks, so when you hit a bump or pothole, or just drive on very uneven pavement, the car remains remarkably planted. You can either let the suspension follow the drive mode, or lock it into a specific setting, decoupled from the rest of the mode settings. On ravaged roads this is quite a boon IMO.

How many miles do the MRC and non MRC shocks last?

My car gets compliments and turns heads, so it looks fine enough.

Automatics nowadays are faster and more efficient. Not that they matter for me, given the joy of driving a stick shift.

The trick is to not skip leg days. Yes, they suck, but you gotta do them.
And you don't even need to do leg days with the stock clutch on the 1ss 1LE. It's by far the lightest easiest clutch I've ever driven. I came from a heavily modified Subaru STi with a very heavy clutch that I daily drove. First time I drove my '22 1ss 1le, I nearly put the clutch through the firewall.

That whole "driving manual in stop and go traffic is hard/annoying" schtik is so lame. I've daily driven a manual for the last 16ish years. If you know how to drive a manual, stop and go traffic is stupidly easy and not annoying at all.
