I've always preferred to buy new as I'd rather spend more and know the complete history of the vehicle from when it came off the assembly line. There would always be doubt in the back of my mind as to why the previous owner turned in the vehicle, whether they wrecked it, drove it too hard, or some other reason. Also, my 2016 SS Sedan, I have less than 40K miles on it, and I found that I was doing oil changes once every 6 months to a year. I didn't like that the oil sat for so long, but I didn't like the idea of changing the oil with less than 2000 miles on it. The only way I'd consider a used SS is if it was at least $20K less than new, especially a car like an SS that is built to be driven hard. |

Another question. Browsing new, the 1SS trim is a bit above what I can afford as far as payments go. Is the LT1 trim pretty nice on the 2022 models? Theres none in stock near me i can go look at in person and i will be making a 300 to 900 mile drive when i am ready to go get one.

LT1 is a stripped-down SS or more accurately an LT trim car with a v8. Only differences from a regular 1LT is FE3 suspension pieces but differences between LT1 and 1SS are greater

Depends on what your goals are for the car, I imagine.

I'll talk about the 19. It looks great. Glad i didn't listen to you guys in 2018-2019. Well, i knew to ignore y'all, because nearly every opinion was from someone that had no real stake in it, or someone that hadn't see it in person. Anway... if it bothers one so much, the $130 'offending piece' can be swapped out.... and you would need a little body paint. But someone needs to sell that 2019 center piece, i might be in the market for it if i get a 2023, i want the 2019 front end

1. Different Hood vents
2. Different 7/8" touchscreen display 3. Different software for that touchscreen 4. 1SS vs 2SS (most option differences are the same save a few) 5. Prior to 2019 1LE's came standard on SS if I'm not mistaken hence the higher price tag vs the now LT1's and non 1LE SS models 6. Post 2019 1LE packages are now a $7000 option 7. A10 trans vs A8 prior to 2019 (Resolved Trans shudder in 2019 if I'm not mistaken with the change to the A10) That's the ones I know off hand as I used to own a 2016 1LE. Oh yes the most important difference. The Bow Tie on the front on the 2019 models that EVERYONE hated. @Hops

2019 is the only year with a T87a TCM and A10. The 20+ TCM cannot be modded short of putting a hacked T87a by HHoP.

Once I had the transmission service bulletin done on my 8 speed, I've really enjoyed it. It's responsive, intelligent, and outside of the 1 - 2 shift harshness that some people seem to get when it's cold I have no desire for the 10 speed. The 8 speed isn't any slower. That said, the 8 speed had so many years of issues and complaints that its tarnished forever at this point, and they need to get the 10 speed in everything that was using the 8 speed before.

Ive decided im going to get a 6 speed SS camaro instead of automatic. Its bewildering why people pay 5 to 7 grand more just to not shift?

For whatever reason people are always thrilled that I have a manual transmission in my Camaro. seriously it's the one thing that triggers compliments. Dying breed, I guess. |
