Order status

I am trying to find the order status of my 2022 Camaro 2SS1LE. I ordered it from Priority Chevrolet in Chesapeake Virginia.The order number is BGNRT4.

You're welcome, but...not quite. Once it hits 2000 it'll tell you that GM accepted the order (which will definitely take some weight off of Joe). After that, it'll tell you when it's built. But after that, you'll get nothing really. You will also get sparse details, that Joe can definitely see.

So, it'll work in the short term so you know when it's picked up by GM for sure. To get the details like in my signature? Ask your salesman or Joe.

I tried to get people to use the Chat feature in the Status thread by showing some guy how he could find that his vehicle was still not picked up (seems like you shouldn't constantly ask Joe for a status if it hasn't even been picked up yet) so that he's only asking Joe when there's actual movement into production, but some guy got b*tchy with me. It's a great feature, and most importantly it's less work for Joe. I guess some people are only concerned with themselves.

FYI, if you ask to speak to an actual agent in the Chevrolet chat function, you can get more info than the boilerplate responses.

Not doubting your experience, but the one time the automated chat wasn't working for me the agent gave me some 2000 series status. I called my sales manager in excitement and he got mad because they built the car without an allotment. Long story short, the agent was wrong and I was firmly set at 1100.

You dorks in Virginia don't take my license plate number...8mo w8t, or maybe wuza22.

Couple points to be made here.

You're not the Chat police. You're a member, like the rest of us. It's well known that chevychat's info doesn't hold a candle to JoeP and his accurate status updates. Check the post above me for more proof.

A. I wrote in a request ONCE before, back in October of last year. This was my second time asking JoeP. Define 'constantly'.

B. JoeP has answered 10's of requests, EVERYday of the wk (minus Sunday) for the last however many years. 1000s upon 1000s of requests. I mean, that is his thread, created for that purpose. He is a well spoken man. If he feels one of us is taking advantage or abusing this cool privilege he offers us, he will check them. I've read it myself, several times lol.

I was trying to be helpful and you snapped. Not sure if it can get any plainer than that. I appreciate all Joe does, but as you stated, some do take advantage of his kindness. With that, all I suggested was using the chat feature for the preliminary status, before the order is picked up so that one's not constantly asking for statuses that are stuck at 1100. Not sure how that makes me the "chat police". If I was shown a way to do something that helped lessen someone's workload, I'd be all for it. Still not sure why there was anything wrong with my suggestion, but you're right you are entitled to bug him as often as you like.

Suggesting I check with chevychat instead of JoeP's thread that was created for this? I, too, enjoy this forum almost daily, and read the requests, and suggestions. Most of us seasoned readers are privy to the (severely lagging and sometimes inaccurate) chevychat, and forego it in lieu of checking with JoeP.

And I guess now we know where the issue lies. I was trying to give you information but you thought I was trying to"police" you. Don't worry, I won't try to help you now, nor in the future. I probably should have figured as much when you insisted that I took pleasure in reporting that the system stated that your order wasn't picked up. Ok, lesson learned, I won't offer you any help. Now feel free to pound sand. I am more than happy to help other Camaro owners that aren't "status code 1100" in the head.
