Took it for a ride through Jerome, AZ. An old mining town on Highway 89A in Arizona. Beautiful drive!

Installed new spark plug, changed the gas cap, added some flags, and took a drive (photo pre flags and gas cap)

Even though I haven't taken delivery yet, bought some Weathertechs. Hopefully it's a clean fit. I remember what my father said when I bought some Weathertechs for his Cadillac, "Funny how it used to be you paid extra for the carpet floor mats, and now you pay extra for the plastic ones".

I bought the husky, but a friend bought weathertech. Both fit very well, I suspect you’ll be happy.

Been to Jerome several times! Went to 4 years of college in Prescott...

Drove up to Orange County today to interview a couple new employee potentials... On the way back down to San Diego County ran across a couple Mustang GT's (5.0L 6th Gen) that would pull up to me, slow down and honk their horn 3 times then go... Finally had enough from these 2 after 1-2 of these "honk & runs"... Next one, third honk I floored it (in Auto) and let the computers do the work faster than my 54 year old brain can shift, pulled very strongly away from both... They wanted another run... same result... (basically 50 to 85 or so) Finally the 5% tint (on them) rolled down with a "hang loose" sign... It was fun, but damn I thought a 5.0 Mustang GT was faster than that, it wasn't even close...

Depends on what year model. 15-17 not much of a challenge but 18+ with the 10spd are more than a handful.

I'm not that familiar with the Mustangs but I would say it was at least a 2017 or newer... I know at least one was a manual (cuz he kept revving it), so either he was in the wrong gear or what not, but we left strong on him and kept pulling away (without a doubt)...

I have driven a 2016 and a 2019 Mustang GT, both stock, both auto, and felt no difference. I didn't get above 130 mph though. The times were only a 1/10th difference on dragy (0-60 & and 60-130)

I think driving a 1300hp car has messed up your butt dyno.

Placed an order for another non-performance item. Even though I already have an old escort radar detector, went back to one I used to have a long time ago. https://www.valentine1.com/ . Sadly, they are also experiencing chip shortages, backordered till mid March. I know Waze makes these almost obsolete, but I like to be safe.

For me the best part of the Jerome ride is Yarnell hill. It's darned near addicting. On the rest of it I usually get stuck behind a couple of Harleys going slow.

I agree, Yarnell Hill is a lot more challenging. I usually do the Jerome trip early in the day to beat the slower traffic.

Put some gas in it and drove out of town for a bit, guy at gas station was talking my head off about the car and how he'd get tons of tickets in it.
