Looks like Costco has a build tool and pricing for the new refreshed 1500 trucks on their website. No idea if the option MSRP pricing is accurate, but its at least fun to play around with something finally and get an idea on what everything may cost. Maybe it means the GM tool is close? |

Fully optioned ZR2 is 74k (base of 66k). At that price I'd rather get an AT4x and it least get massaging seats. |

^Yea its essentially a pick up (a well optioned one), yet GM wants a kidney for it.

It's insane how fast trucks get expensive. I know there is a ton more tech and safety and capability blah blah blah but it's insanity. But people are paying it so guess keep pumping them out

I paid 60K for my 2017 Denali 1500 Ultimate - 6.2 - CDN funds.
I can't even imagine buying a truck now.

GM is already begging the government for more EV tax credits. Barra says they're being "penalized" for selling too many EVs. She also said she wants the market to decide. Ok great. Let's get rid of the incentive for everyone.

You do realize that these particular credits don’t go into the automakers’ pockets, right? They go to the vehicle buyer. Where it benefits GM (and Tesla, since they also are out of credits) is it makes the vehicle appear several thousand dollars less expensive. When GM and Tesla ran out of credits, they reduced the prices on their EVs to be close to what the net price to the buyer would have been if the incentives were still in place.

What's the solution to be on equal footing from an automakers perspective? Telsa: get rid of all subsidies (of course after benefiting from them in the past). GM: government intervention to apply subsidies to all equally forever.

The fact you have to pay $1,150 for rock sliders on the Silverado ZR2 is an absolute joke. GM really doesn’t care for enthusiasts.

Yeah, I thought we were told the price was high because it was high content with little options available if any.

It's $10k higher than a loaded LT Trail Boss with a lot fewer amenities. |
