I agree on the Vette but think the new Z06 fixed those issues for me, the exhaust needs to be in the middle. When I sell my current Z06 its either going to be a C8 Z06 or a C7 ZR1. Depends on how the stars align. I have owned my Camaro for 3 years now and still like it just as much as the first day, this is actually the longest I have ever owned a car. I have always enjoyed buying and selling to get something else but I find myself very content with it.

only reasons this amazing car will get sold

Amazing that powers that be in GM don't understand that.
Manual isn't as fast as auto nowadays and the people who prefer a manual are in the minority now, and paddle shifters are "good enough" for most people. It's a shame they didn't include it in the C8 but it is what it is. In 10 years everything will be electric sadly.

For me, it was NEVER about which is faster. As I have stated in other threads, my ZL1 is a toy. A toy I enjoy driving when I can. As such, my toy will always be a manual. My daily driver (a pickup truck) is an auto.

So, an auto is just fine for a daily. But, I prefer a manual in my toy.

A Vette, is a toy... Nuff said.

I have to agree. My toy cars are 6 speeds. I love mowing through gears. Easy and faster isn’t always better.

I was just talking with a co-worker this morning. The last model year for Camaro will supposedly have a "farewell package". If it appeals to me when I see it, I may very well trade in my 2SS for a ZL1. I really think that is the only thing that would get me out of my current Camaro. At least for the foreseeable future.

It would be something to have them do a "farewell" package similar to their previous packages like the "Fifty Edition" or their heritage packages. Perhaps something along the lines of the black with white stripes or the yellow with black stripes or white with orange stripes. Personally I have a solid color and prefer it, however, if the package is done right it could sway me.

Agreed on the Z06. After seeing the C8 Z06, I don't think I could buy a Stingray now. Unfortunately, that car will be big money for a while or at least until everyone who is willing to pay over MSRP gets one.

I hope you mean rowing, as I don't think a lawn mower will fit inside the Camaro

Count me in as well in regards to only getting toys in manuals. I’m past the stage of my life where I need to daily a manual but my toys will ALWAYS be manual unless one day I decide I want my SO to also enjoy the car. But right now if someone offered to give me their auto zl1, M5, R8 or whatever for my manual SS I would honestly say no (aside from selling the higher priced car and buying another SS and pocketing the cash of course).

unless they make a new Camaro in HBM, there is zero chance in hell I'm selling my car.

I'm never selling mine. Ever. I recently bought a Trackhawk for a more spacious and pretty fun DD type vehicle.
