Question How much is enough tread for a track day?

I have the car in my sig, SS 1LE with OEM Supercar3 tires that look bald when they're new.

1. How/where do i measure the depth remaining on the SC3 tire?

2. What is enough depth remaining for a 6x20 min track day?

Thank you for your thoughts,
~ Sean

I've seen a lot member here cord the tires while still having a lot of tread, even with the track alignment.

If you haven't done a track day on those tires, yet there doesn't seem to be a lot of tread, you could be fine since the outer shoulders, which on track wear quicker than the rest of the tire, would be in better shape.

Don't look at the depth of the rubber the way you're used to. Use the dimples (both inner and outer). If you've got dimples, you can see exactly how much rubber you've got left...
