Portillo's no joke.

Lived in Chitown for about 3-4 years.

I literally have to drive like I'm in a 1990 Ford Tempo in terms of how toned down my gas pedal use would be.

Ice scares me, on the way to work this morning the entrance ramp for highway had black ice and a big 4x4 pickup was in the ditch cops etc. I hit the breaks lightly and felt the car slide began pumping the breaks lightly to slow down more on the entrance ramp.

No kidding... I fished tailed on merge part of 95N coming from 495 (for anyone familiar with the area). Wasn't accelerating, just holding steady around 55mph, just hit a slight bump in the pavement in the middle of a curve in cold weather. Terrifying.

I live in central Florida and my car lives outside every day. Over two years now and I personally have never seen water inside on the engine. I do not check every time it rains but I certainly raise the hood after washing and have never seen water. I worried about the same thing before I bought.

Yeah but did you pour a cup of water down the hood?

We just had significant rain here in the LA basin. I had to drive through the first half of the weather, was quite concerned about the water into the engine bay. I know motors are built for them but I’ve had electrical issues from water before.

The amount of water that got into the engine bay was minimal, I have no concerns about it anymore.

You'll want to pick up a camaro specific umbrella before venturing out in the elements. Youll also want to get some suncreen for it too on those super hot days. Jeez, it's a car....

Do not know what years they had them but I really liked the hood vents on the 2018 Camaro 2SS 1LE my wife's had where there were two. Just looked cleaner and our 2021 looks like it copied the C7. Do not know if they were better or more functional than the new one.
