I broke one of the Gforce aluminum shafts on my Magnuson 2650 Camaro on the first pass at the LS Fest 2019. Pretty disappointing so ditched that and went to a DSS Chromoly and never had an issue after that.

I was under the impression that the A10 and A8 are the same length and the driveshaft interchanges. You just have to make sure you buy a shaft from a A10 if you have a A8...and M6 Zl1 for M6 SS.

This thing is too gorgeous to mount underneath the car.

Wondering how it might look installed sticking out of the hood instead?

Maybe a see-through driveshaft tunnel?

Hold it out the window, joust-style?

That’s a nice upgrade. I need to get one of these too. How long did it take for them to get this to you after you placed the order?

Ok... converter and carbon fiber driveshaft are installed.

Fun drive home. But didn't floor it until I can do some real logging and adjusting. But wow. It's going to be a different beast now I can tell.

Will post more info as I collect and adjust. Going to be snow this weekend, so probably won't get anything meaningful for several days.

That converter should make a big difference in the way it drives, bet it spools up quicker now and hits harder.

Yeah, it sure does so far. I was pretty timid with it on the way home. I think a WOT hit with DRs is going to be a fun ride.

I'm going to dial back the shift points in the tcm tune close to what they were originally and work my way back up incrementally so I dont overrev on the WOT shifts. I'm not sure what the difference in tc slip at WOT will be yet.

With stock converter theres about a 200-300 rpm difference between trans input and engine rpm. Just not sure what to expect with this converter, and it already goes to 6800 rpm for a shift with the current tune. That's already pretty close to fuel cutoff rpm.

Oh, and after I get WOT shift tuned, then I'll probably start having the TC Clutch lock at lower mph too. I had applied a tune that keeps it from locking until 60mph in 8th, but I'd like to drop that to lock @ 30mph+ in 5?, 6, 7, 8.

Keep the rpms down during casual cruising, and keep the trans temp down too.

Pretty sure I've got a good bead on all the tables to modify for all of this. I can be more detailed if anyone is interested in exactly what I'm changing.

Agree, should be WAY into the 10s with your setup on DRs.

I dont have the DRs yet, but as soon as i am comfortable with the trans tune, ill make a pass in the 1/4. Im expecting a **** show on the nt05s unless they glue the heck out of the track.

Thinking of getting a 17" wheel setup on back for the track, and keeping the 20s for street.

I found the 20” DRs would grip at a fully prepped track until somewhere in the 650 WHP range or so. Once I did my next round of upgrades it just wasn’t happening. I should have tried a second gear launch IMO, that probably would have helped a ton.

Good info. Thank you. I would like to think I'm somewhere over 600 WHP after the trans tune... Not that the trans tune makes a big difference on launch though for me You PD guys have more oomph down low. I'm just assuming somewhere between 580 and 620 based on online 1/4 mile calculators and correlating that with cyl airmass and airflow lb/min. Big variable is timing, but I should be in the right neighborhood.

With the trans tune and increased rpm and addl boost from that rpm increase, peak airflow lbs/min went from high 60s to high 70s... so if you believe the 9-10hp per 1lb airflow, then I should have 90 to 100 more crank hp at least at the top end for my next run.

I'll just have to try with NT05s first mainly because DRs wouldn't even arrive in time before first opportunity to run.
