Wow that’s sharp.
I also had an 88 Iroc-Z. It was a 1LE. Look them up. They were ultra rare. It went like a bat outta hell. Obviously I regret selling it 25 plus years ago.
Congratulations and man your car looks greats👍👍👍

Holy crap...if you had a legit 88 Camaro 1LE, that was a 1 of 4 car!! I am familiar with that option code as it is also on my 92 (B4C also).

Got any pics of that car?

Having just moved no I don’t as our place in kinda in shambles. They are old pictures. It was an LB9 with the 5 speed obviously a hardtop. Ironically it had the fog lights which I do not believe was an option you could order. I wasn’t the original owner so they may have put them on. It was one helluva car though and ran a 14.5 at 100 mph in the quarter. I never knew how rare it was and only sold it to build a drag car as I could not bring myself to cut it up. The ZLE I currently own was the first car I had to have since that Iroc. Performance vehicle speaking of course.

I had an 89 IROC as well. Before that an 84 Z28 with 305 and a 5 speed(favorite car of all time) BUT oh my gosh, while very capable cars for their time, nothing compared to todays cars. On these cool Florida mornings I sure do miss my T tops though.

Wow that’s a rare car. I don’t think they made many of those.

I had an 84 Z28, 305, 5 speed, and T tops also. It was a great car for its day. I can’t compare to todays Camaro, yet.

Congratulations on your new Camaro and enjoy the drive! I too had a 1987 IROC Z28 that I bought new that had a 305 TPI 5 speed, 4 wheel disc brakes, T-tops and other options. In the 12 years I had it, it had 3 engines with the last being a rebuilt 350 out of a 1500 Chevy truck. The TPI unit was installed and a custom prom installed but it never was really optimized to run like a 350. Traded it in on a new 1998 Camaro SS with a LS1 6 speed.

I started with a 77 Camaro with a straight 6, then a 78 with a 350 4-bolt main from an old pickup, that just flew.

I had an 87 IROC...boy i put way too much money in that car...Think i spent 22k for it new, then i went through 7 transmissions, 2 rear ends, and 2 motors. Parted out the car in 95 or 96. It hit a hell of a 2nd gear though...Stuck a 355 in it with decent cam and Dart Heads...
