Hahaha, don't I know, what I meant is the car will respond like a sloth in that mode and makes it easier to practice throttle control until one gains some confidence

Good luck either way, I'm all for you being responsible and wanting to be better before you hit the road in a Camaro, but don't try to be perfect and only then drive it, because that'll never happen, as we can all testify

now i get it, but I'm practicing with my families Audi Q3(but I prefer to practice with my sisters VW golf), but at first maybe I'll put it on snow/ice mode I rather have it on sport mode (living on the edge)

You live and you learn, carry on.

I'm a firm believer in starting with the basics and then slowly progressing to better things. My first car was a <100 HP piece of junk that had hand cranks, but I loved every minute of it because it represented freedom to me. I have progressed as I've gotten older, and have learned to respect high HP vehicles.

The only thing against the OP is that ICE vehicles' days are numbered, and manual transmissions even more so. I still think inexperienced drivers need to start with more basic transportation and progressively get to the more powerful cars, but it's not my money so more power to the OP if he's inexperienced but can swing getting into what he wants. If I were young and could afford a nice big burly vehicle, I'd be more tempted to get into a nice house, but everyone has different ambitions.

ok what kind of story, sir, please tell me, and who hasn't badgered joeP for status requests on this forum and yes i was being honest when that happened before, they went behind my back and built the car, all i did was inquire about a price not to build the damn car (it was 2021 car) but now i may have made a mistake i guess

OMG I'm a legal citizen of the United States (I was born here), it's just simply (according to my parents) I need polishing on my driving skills

So you get someone to take you to a parking lot and practice driving once a week or several times a week. You did pass your driver's test right? So I'm not sure what all this uncertainty about driving is. Obey traffic signs, remain a safe distance from other cars, stay focused, use signals, pay attention, etc. Driving is not some complicated thing like flying a helicopter. You're not entering the Indy 500. And this isn't a GT500 you're getting. It is a 2.0 Turbo Camaro which is easily the safest and easiest to drive of all the Camaros. So there must be more to this story than you're letting on. Most young men have enough confidence that they would not hesitate to drive once they are able to. And not many people would turn down a brand new Camaro as a first car. So there has got to be more to this story.

While I agree that there may be more to the story, I have to wonder why we need to know. I can think of many reasons to explain what is going on, but I would not feel comfortable posting about many of them on an internet car forum.

The way I see it the OP's initial post was to let us know his car situation, and probably to express some disappointment. I don't think his intent was to have people pry into his private life and whatever issues he may have. I think he may have expected some sympathy from us, but I'd be surprised if he thought he would be the subject of a lot of the speculation in this thread.

Nice. And to be clear I never said you were. Your original post was not clear on why you couldn't obtain your license so it was all speculation and I stated that. You've since cleared things up so keep at it and you'll get your car sooner or later.

Dealers should charge a hefty non-refundable deposit on special ordered cars to put an end to this kind of nonsense.
