I noticed when she went to town to talk to the guys that there was one GEN 2 Camaro’s nose poking out of the building and two GEN 1 Camaros behind the glass inside the building. More of a tear jerker commercial, I would rather see the performance angle.

On a another note and not following the tear jerking story line I guess Chevy Marketing is telling it’s potential NEW/OLD customers not to buy new but go out to the barn and find that 65 plus year old used car. GM does a piss poor marketing scheme all the time if you ask me. IMO

Agreed... I simply just took it for what it was... A good message about a daughter helping out her dad who's obviously hurting missing his wife. In a world like today when all you here is doom and gloom it's nice to see someone (GM) put out a positive message. To bad we don't see more of this in today's world. I lost 3 family members this year. (One of them being my dad)... So I really liked the message of the daughter helping her dad due to loss in their life.

Oh no, we were definitely watching the same commercial. It's a sappy commercial about a daughter taking care of her father. It's whole purpose is to tug on the heart strings. But throwing gender in there as if that is a bad thing is ridiculous.

Would it be better if it's the gruff, blue-collar father who doesn't crack a smile and just soldiers on like a good, strong male does after they lost their wife, who is then supported by his equally masculine son rather than his daughter? Just so it fits what some people think is a better societal norm, rather than just embracing the mere concept of a daughter caring for her father?

It's sad if the thought of a daughter taking care of her father doesn't make you smile, and instead some people just want to be miserable and complain about it lol.

And even if we are going down that route... There were a bunch of guys working to restore the old Chevy as well.

Like FFS, take the Christmas message and enjoy it. Stop with the politicizing non-sense (which is exactly what we need a break from, as someone has already mentioned above). If people can stop fighting a war during Christmas, I would like to think we can do better.

I kinda wish GM would focus just on their truck/Tahoe/Suburban and performance cars. Their sedans and small SUVs are inferior to just about everything on the market in a similar class.
