Interesting development, the dealership that I put a $1000 deposit on for my order a few weeks ago just charged my card for $1000. Hoping that's good news.

Are you saying the sticker could be wrong OR just be careful looking at the preview pages?

I didnt lead with “im out of state” but when they called me back they said it was sold. So idk if that was an easy way of them saying we dont want to do an out of state deal or it actually was sold.
I have an order in, but the way GM is running, who knows if I’ll actually get it.
I did order a new ram 2500 yesterday and it was no different than ordering a truck 3yrs ago. No constraints, (mines loaded) and time frame is 2-3mo like normal (made in Mexico). 1500’s would have been here in a few weeks most likely since im about 1.5hr from the plant.

Is this an additional $1000 or the original?
My dealer charged mine same day and my order hasn’t been picked up yet. I know all dealers are different.

It's the original $1000 that he asked me to put down. I figured he would've put it in the same day, but maybe he waited 2 weeks to put it in, which seems a little odd. I thought maybe he was given permission to begin the ordering process.

Well, I got GREAT news today.....it's on a train with a tentative drop at the dealer of 12/25!
What a great turn around......ordered 10/8, the other dealer I ordered from, the order is STILL sitting at 1100! Just called and cancelled that one......wished they would have worked out since they were a local dealer.....

I just got feedback that they charged my card because they can now move on to the next step (ordering).

lol, don't you hate that it's being dropped off on the 25th, when the dealership is most likely closed? That would mean that you won't see it till Monday if your state is like Texas, where the dealerships are closed on Sundays.

That really would be great if the car came in on Christmas Day and you could pick it up! I doubt the truck transport will operate on Friday or Saturday, so as mentioned above it might not arrive until the 27th.

Got news today that my Dec 1st order will be built the week of Jan 17th! Moving pretty quick considering they will be shut down Wednesday of next week through Jan 3rd.

Heh, I had a similar experience, dealership called Friday afternoon and I only picked her up the following Monday. What a beautiful Monday it was, however

What that means is that they didn't do anything from the time you left your dealer to now. They can place an order any time they want, certainly doesn't = allocation or that you'll get anything beyond 1100 status. Don't mean to rain on your parade but this means very little.

I asked my contact's assistant if there was anything to the charge, and she stated that it means that they're moving to the next step. The salesman claimed that they have the ear of the regional GM guy as they claim to be one of the biggest dealerships (like most dealerships do these days). He claims it's a back-channel, which I'm sure was just a lot of talk. I'm still expecting March, but it's nice to see some movement.

My order has been in the system for about 2 months and is still awaiting an allocation. Unfortunately, many components simply aren't available to build the cars. The allocations have slowed almost to a halt. 2022 is actually projected to be worse than 2021 in terms of the microchip shortage.

March is a good goal, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
