I received a transfer from NY to West Palm Beach for my company. They use a national Mover - Siracusa out of Connecticut for the movement of House Hold Goods (HHG). They sub out moving cars & bikes to ReLo Transport.

I do not know what the price is due to this being an internal move - but they will be picking up my 2SS on 12/28 to deliver to WPB - so I can let you know what the end result is - they are moving it on an open trailer. My wifes car will be following a few weeks later once she completes the sale of our home - she retired and I need to start work on 1/3/22.

Congrats on the move and good luck with the new job....

I just want y'all to know that someone actually used the search feature and found this without making an entirely new post. Thanks for the info!

Who ever you choose, when it gets there, check it with a fine-toothed comb - even underneath. I learned that the hard way. When I had my new Shock shipped, they hooked to the aluminum shield under the front end and totally whacked it out of shape. Didn't see it until I had the side skirts installed a month later. Had to swallow the costs to replace because I did not want to have a bad Carfax (if I went to their insurance) for basically a part that many owners might replace if it got hit by a few rocks. And when I contacted the trucking company, I was SOL because it had been over 30 days!

Oof - which company? I was GOING to go w/ Plycon (aka Plycar) - but in the end, my local dealer's order went through thankfully.

Shipping Cross Country

I just had my 2018 2SS shipped from Ontario, Canada to Georgia. It was being imported as I'm returning to the USA.

I used a company called Reindeer Auto Relocation out of Indiana who handle both cross border and US domestic shipping. It took about two weeks to get to Georgia but that was mostly because of border issues.

The car arrived at my brother's house in perfect shape, no scratches, dings, etc.
Now he gets to enjoy it for a month till I get there. LOL

The cost was about $2300 and it's approx 1200 miles.

You may want to give them a call or check out their site. Good luck with your move.

Your best bet is to get a quote from a couple companies if you want an accurate idea of the cost. NY to FL is a fairly popular route for shippers/movers so I would think you'd have some options. I would probably recommend enclosed transport is you're shipping that far though. Too many variables with open transport, especially in winter weather. I've even opted for enclosed shipping during summer months and warmer climates.

We've used Angels Moving Autos here at work. They've worked out well for us, but we've mostly moved pickup trucks for business. http://www.angelsmovingautos.com/

I work in the trucking industry (brokerage), and I avoid any company with the name "Road Runner." Never had good experiences with them.
