PS4S vs F1
Old adage question, my original F1S3 tires have 10k miles on them so I'll have to replace them soon, used to have PS4S on my old car and I remember them being great overall however it was a modded V6 that I traded in a year and a half ago and I'd have to drive them back to back to really compare them, the F1S3 have been really great and I love how communicative they are, granted I do remember the PS4S being one hell of an upgrade over the V6 runflats but I don't have a way to compare them back to back on a 1LE, which one of those tires do you find more communicative?

The PS4S is a great tire. Awesome in the wet, quiet and I've gone pretty quickly on the track with them. That said, as far as on track performance compared to the F1, they are quite a few steps behind. On the street, I would say they are quite bit better.

Yeah I've had the PS4S and my car is strictly street until I'm able to lap it so I'm not that worried there, I do however remember I felt way more confident with the PS4S since the F1S3 feel like they don't have enough grip when they do, odd sensation.

PS4S is much better in the wet than the Supercar 3. The SC3 is a little grippier, but also wears faster. PS4S is better all-around I find. Run-flat is poop.

Depends on your use case. For the street and in the wet 4S. But for track days and weekend warrior activities SC3 hands down. I’m about to get another set of them as well. Down to wear bars on the back.
PS, I’m a big fan of Michelins too, but my gut feeling is that SC3s are more progressive and communicate better. |

I did the best of both worlds.
I picked a set of take off 1LE stock wheels and tires with 400 miles on them, brand new essentially, for $2K from a local guy. When my stock set wore out, I replaced them with PS4S, now it is a quick wheel swap for whatever my needs are. Street 80%, 20% weekend warrior, road carving and track. Not an option for everyone, I understand. If I could only choose one, I would stay with F1S3, just less wet day driving options, which I am ok with. All depends on what suits your needs. Seems you might be better with PS4S. |

, decisions... Wear is another factor seeing that I generally drive 1:30 hours to Orlando and there's no mountain carving in that, price also pays a role, ugh I wish we had the F1 SuperSport available... Quote:
Yeah I'm leaning towards the PS4S too, the F1S3 are just insane in that they're both a street and track tire with good life but I think the extra grip and communication they provide aren't that much of a positive for my use case.

In my experience SC3 is just a small step behind Cup 2s. I LOVED cup 2s, but the price is bonkers. I improved my previous best at one of my local tracks (established in a highly moded '14 mustang GT) by almost 4s on 3 year old SC3. Looking forward to see how I do on a fresh set.

This is exactly the same opinion as me. I’ve had both and I prefer the F1S3 over the PS4S. That said, the wet traction on the PS4S is noticeably better in heavy rain. Wet roads with no standing water is about the same between the two. I prefer the ride, feel, cornering, and traction of the F1S3 in dry conditions over the Michelin’s.

Prepare to be addicted to the 3Rs. Dropped 5 sec at some tracks and run with a faster group of cars now.
