Got a text from my dealer. My order is at 4150 status. They said it should be here mid January.

If the status is 4150, why it takes so long to get to the dealer??

I have an order at an Ottawa dealer, which I placed in July, and I am still waiting for an allocation, which was confirmed by the dealer last week. I have been using the "Message Us" feature on the Chevy website to confirm order status as well to minimal effect.

The world is small: you are not far from me , I am in Gatineau and ordered from SurgenorGatineau mid-October. I check on the Chevy website too and always same message: ''... is waiting for acceptance into production...please, check again in 4-6 weeks''. It seems to be a long wait for Canadian.

After months at 1100, I jumped on the other side of the fence: I went to the blue Oval. In fact, a ford dealer in my area had a new 2021 stang that had all the characteristic I was looking for ( but manual). I went there and closed the deal withing one hour (instead of 4-6 months for a cam). So I will be driving a blue 2.3L /310 Hp mustang next spring instead of a 2LT 2.0 camaro.
Hope GM sort out their mess regarding the Canadian order process.

I just submitted an order for a 2SS 1LE at my local dealer, I'm not in a rush but I'd also prefer not to wait 6 months for an allocation but we'll see.

I thought about a Mustang since they're more available but I just don't like that Getrag manual.

I'll sit on the order and see how the process goes but being a 1LE I'm not expecting an allocation until February as I'd imagine GM doesn't want those tires up here in the cold. I'll wait until Feb-April and if I don't have an allocation I may move on to something else.
