Does everybody actually set up and use a specific “User Profile” on their camaro or did you just forgo that step? And for that matter if you are the only person that drives the car do you need to create one?

I believe its mostly to save seating positions (entry and exit) and radio settings etc

I had set it up at one point, then ran into a bunch of "weirdness" with the various Infotainment pieces doing odd things and I canned it. Haven't looked back. I'm really the only driver, so it kind of doesn't matter.
IMHO, the idea is a good one but is yet ANOTHER area where GM fell on its face. To me, there's no point in setting something like that up unless I can really customize things to my liking and another driver can as well. And there are just too many settings that aren't able to be tuned down to a true personal level within the profile. |

The seat settings can be done for 2 separate people...in addition, I am shipping my car to Florida next month in prep to transfer for work - so I will be setting the 2nd Keyset profile to Teen/Valet mode while in transit to minimize the car haulers opportunity to screw around...it may not be much - but better than giving them carte blanche to do what the want when I am not looking...

Additionally, it throws messages in various ways if you operate the car with it enabled which may, or may not, throw the transport company off if they aren't familiar with it. |

I use it, but like ember, I run into issues from time to time. Sometimes, the user profile doesn't load properly. It tells me that the ignition has to be on to load the user profile... Except it is on. It doesn't happen very often, but it is a bit annoying when it does.

My wife is small stature. She keeps the seat so close I cant even fit in. I tried setting the #2 key fob up to bring the seat all the way back on entry. I tried to set seating positions on the keys. I followed the manual.
Nothing happened. Did it several times and nothing. So I just do it the old fashioned way. A little frustration that my F250 does all that luxo stuff but the Camaro wont accept the program. No big deal though.

I have both of these enabled, and I programmed my position/mirrors to memory slot 1 that is recalled when fob 1 is used to start the car, my wife's position/mirrors to memory slot 2 that is used with fob 2. The third (exit) position I set up manually to push the seat almost all the way back and up to make ingress and egress easier. Now, with all this, everything is automatic, we can both get in and out of the car easily, and when ignition is turned on, the driver seat moves from the exit position to the one associated with the current key fob. After a trip, once the trans is put from D/R to P and the driver door is opened, the exit position is recalled automatically. Can't really ask for more, right? (When both fobs are in the car, it seems the last used one gets considered for the auto memory recall function, and the DIC displays a message along the lines of "You are driver 1 for memory controls" or somesuch.)

One minor niggle I can think of is that you gotta remember to turn off these settings in the infotainment temporarily when a) you have a passenger behind you (to prevent some unwanted, hm, leg compression upon arrival), and b) when handing the car over to service techs, who tend to hate seats moving on them while working on the car.
