Sold my 2018 SS 1LE
Well, after 3 years and 3 mths, I have parted ways with my SS 1LE.
It has been a great car and with just two mods (solid rear cradle bushings & Corsa Exhaust) and a track alignment has been the most complete sports car I have owned. Taking delivery in 2.5 weeks will be my new 2022 PDK GT4. I am taking a leap into the mid-engine platform and hoping that the GT4 gives me just as much confidence and driver interaction as the Alpha chassis in the 1LE. Other than the mid-engine, I am also looking forward to the PDK, PCCB brakes, and the light weight/low center of gravity that the GT4 offers, all in a more luxurious cabin and materials. I wish all you 1LE owners out there well, as it is still the bargain performance car on the market to have. I will pop back in here and give a full review and comparison after I spend some time in the GT4.

Nice car incoming! Is that your actual vehicle at the plant?

Yes sir.
That is right before they load it on a ship for the US. That is my actual car thru Porsche's "Track Your Dreams" app. It landed at port last week and is due at the dealer on Black Friday.

Congrats! I've rode in a GT4 and it is impressive. Also, great timing assuming you managed to lock in a deal anywhere near msrp on the gt4.
I'm gonna save my cash and hold out for a C8 ZO6. Maybe in a few years...

Thanks man. Yeah, I got MSRP, but I ordered it and started the process way back at the beginning of 2021, so it had been almost a year in the making. The C8 Z06 is still on my radar, I will spend 3 years with the GT4 and re-evaluate at that time. I am not touching the C8 Z06 in the current market.

Sad to see you go, because your posts always carried weight and I paid close attention to them, but this is clearly an upgrade, and I'm glad you'll be able to drive and experience a GT4.
As you said, please do stay on the forums for a little longer and let us know how your experience with it goes

Yeah, I'll for sure be around. I still frequent the Corvette Forum from my C5 & C6 Z06 days, and M3 post from my F80 days. A car enthusiast FOR LIFE!!!

I absolutely cannot wait to hear your comparison. I’m either getting a used zl1 or Porsche Cayman gt4 (would absolutely LOVE the new rs version but that ain’t happening). I’m specifically interested in if you miss the torque of the LT1 or not? That’s what is making me strongly lean towards the Z.

You doubled your toy-car price with one purchase?
New job or something? Or was the Camaro below your means before...

No doubt that car will handle awesome. Congrats. If they made one of those with about 600 hp and a manual transmission was still available i would own one because they are almost perfect now and that would make them perfect for me. Enjoy that fine piece of machinery.
