My Planted technologies seat base had the same issue with bolt to floor. I just used a slightly shorter bolt. and it slid right in.

well that sounds easier than the route I was gonna take. Guess I just gotta figure out the right size and thread pattern and buy a shorter bolt. Thanks for your input.
