1/8 mile time help

I went to the track last night and did a personal best but still did not get to my goal of getting into the 6s. Trying to figure out what I might be doing wrong. I am using launch control set to 1900 rpm and slip at 7.5%. If I change either of those to parameters I go slower. So I feel like that is correct for my car.

My car has a roto fab, 1 7/8 headers, alky control kit, MT et Street r, tune.

It is an A10.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Is your TCM tuned? That made 2 tenths difference on my car. I also turn off all of the nannies when I drag race, no traction control and no stabilitrac and put your suspension in touring mode.

My tcm is not tuned. I had asked the tuner to tune it when he did the ecm but said it wasn't necessary until I added more boost. I didn't think that made any sense but who am I. I thought that might be my issue.

I have the car in track mode with everything turned off using the launch control in the car.

Use Touring mode with all nannies off. it's the fastest of the 3 modes for drag racing.

Really? Ok. I'll give that a shot. Can you use the launch control in touring mode or do you just have to foot brake it?

You don't want to use launch control. That shit was designed around stock power on stock tires. Foot brake it.

100% agree! My PB of 11.2 @ 124 was off the foot brake. So was my PB 1.69 60'.

Don't use launch control, put the suspension into tour (weight transfer is better because of the softer setting) and leave everything else in sport or track.

Foot brake to 1700 or so. The launch control in this car is crap no matter if you're stock or not.

Tuners who don't want to tune the TCM more than likely don't know what they are doing. People swear up and down tuning the TCM is a night and day difference even if the only mod is that on a stock car.

Great. I will try foot braking and touring mode next time I'm at the track. Also need to get the tcm tuned. Thanks for the help.
