Hi all.
My 2022 was built the week of 8/16 and has been sitting at the vehicle distribution center in Toledo since 9/11 (per the Jack Cooper website). My dealer talked to GM yesterday - they told him there is a shortage of rail cars and delivery will happen 'when they can get a rail car allocated'. So... I'm confused about how all this works. I'm paying $1200 for freight delivery, yet GM is unable to appropriately plan the logistics of said delivery? This is frustrating to say the least. Any suggestions from this quorum? Is there precedent for recourse, or am I at the mercy of GM's inability to manage logistics? Sorry for the pseudo-rant, but thought folks would be interested to know you're not out of the woods after your car is produced... it might spend its first month+ of life in Toledo!!
