Lol. Love the enthusiasm. But yeah if you can comfortably afford it, the V8 alone in these cars make you feel King Kong on the road. Bang for the buck really is amazing.

Why did you opt for the automatic after having the M6?

I'd rather have an I4 or V6 manual than an auto V8.

Unless it's being used at the drag strip, then I guess I would go with the A10.

Not trying to be critical, I have heard the A10 is a blast to drive, but I think i would miss rowing my own. Just trying to learn, as I am still searching for a 6th Gen

After driving the A10 6.2L, I can’t picture anyone going to a smaller displacement Camaro in any form. I test drove an M6 and the gearing felt a bit tall to me especially 5th and 6th so went with the A10. Don’t regret it. Both are great.

Seniorrs, here's one more vote, I had a 6th gen V6 and it was a very nice car, but there's no comparison to the 6.2 V8. Once I traded the V6, the new 2SS turned my gentlemanly smile into a s**t eating grin

Guess you've already made up your mind and want to enjoy some "truth induced confirmation bias", well, here it is

I went from a 17 RS V6 manual to a 20 LT1 manual. The LT1 is awesome and night and day difference from the V6. LT1 is an insanely good performance car for the money. That said 24k is a lot of miles per year. If mostly highway the LT1 does OK with MPG but around town and if on it it will drink the fuel. V6 will take regular unleaded while LT1 wants premium gas. You will spend more on fuel for sure.

V8 manual cars have a few more years with Mustang and Challenger, but I think the writing is on the wall for Camaro.

Nah, you shoulda done a V8 in the first place. Don't take the negative equity hit.

I love manuals also, but the auto trans cars will win the stoplight jumps and the occasional street race every time. A V8 over a 4 banger or V6 anytime and with any trans. After many many miles of rural driving or highway driving, there is one thing that maximizes driving pleasure and that is torque. There is not sufficent low rpm torque especially in a 4 banger and while V6s are better, there is no better sound or torque than what is generated by a V8.

I say go for it. Just like some are very particular with an M6... I am very particular with a V8 in a pony car. "To Me" just because it looks like a pony car, with a V4 or V6... It just isn't.

I realize the v8is king but the gen6 is a winner with any of it's engines. It can out perform cars in it's price range from brz,gti to hellcat. The lt1 I had a deal for 11k and my car sold today. It was the best deal I found in 2 weeks of searching. The dealer was 3 hrs away,I was going there Tomorrow after work. Having driven fwd for 20yrs ,mazda3, focus st, rsx-s I stopped at a local dealer today and drove a veloster n after getting news of lt1 selling. I will be keeping my v6 until I get a deal on a gen6 v8 I'm happy with.

Another one will pop up, when it does, pounce on it, I understand that a model such as an LT1 may be had for a slightly better deal during the cooler months when they sit and the trucks and suvs sell for top dollar.

Sorry to hear the car you were dealing on got sold.

Consider expanding your search area. Three of my last four were bought out of state with the furthest being 900 miles (New York, Ohio, Detroit). Its fun to road trip your trade followed by the thrill of driving your new baby home.

Good luck
