The Camaro plant was open the last couple weeks unlike most GM assembly plants but is now being idled the next 2 weeks as previously stated by Joe. They will be installing chips, as they get them, on cars built short during this time, but no new builds. The article was prior to this decision.

The date of the article is in the link - 9/3/21 - it was absolutely correct as of that date to say that Camaro production at the Lansing Grand River plant was NOT halted (note - this is not the same as the Lansing Delta Township plant, where production was halted - Camaros are built at Lansing Grand River).

Reported by multiple sources at the same time, and referenced in several other threads on this forum. For example, from 9/2:
