Black gloss re-powdercoated APEX ARC-8's with CQuartz DLUX Ceramic Coating - PICS

Two down, two to go. Had the APEX ARC-8's recoated from matte black to gloss black powdercoat and did a full clean on them followed by CQuartz DLUX Ceramic Coating on the fascia inside and out and the barrel, along with a clean and ceramic coating on the calipers. Always was a sucker for a clean wheel barrel.

Looks awesome! I love these wheels!!! I want a set of these.

I am trying to decide if I want to coat my oem wheels, or if I want to go with an easier to use product like a spray coating or a sealant.

I have CSL and EXO left over from when I coated the car a month ago and am debating using that or going with a wheel specific coating.

Do you have any experience with any other products on wheels?

Did the same with my track wheels a few years ago. Nothing like blasting off a weekends worth of brake dust with a quick hose off!

No offense......do you drive that car? Don't think I have ever seen a cleaner, smoother disc in my life. Not even from the factory.

No experience with those tbh, but CQuartz DLUX works great for sure, very resistant to the heat from the rotors. Definitely get a professional powdercoat done on the OEMs, would look amazing. I went with the ARC-8's since they are way lighter than OEM, almost 7-8lbs per wheel.

Thank you! Took 3 hours total to remove, clean, coat, buff the coating residue off and reinstall all four wheels. Well worth it though imo!

WOW! I knew they are lighter, but I didn't that much lighter! Was that weight savings on the wheels noticeable?

Very, along with the reduced tire height and wheel diameter for torque multiplication/gearing effects.
