5th gen owner going into the 6th year of ownership.yeah,it would be nice to have a more usable trunk opening, but this car is like a big comfy couch cruising at 110 with no noise whatsoever.

The only visibility issue I have is the driver side rear blind spot. I'd like if the rear windows were larger. I have no issue with the front of the car and visibility.

That is 100% eliminated with proper mirror setting, the door/window is so long it isn't an issue at all on the driver side IMO.

If anything, the passenger side C pillar and the tiny quarter windows may be a problem when making a wide angle left turn or making a U-turn where the median is broken up and you have to pull up at an (obtuse) angle to merge—now that is a bit diceville even with ample neck action, but only affects something like 0.1% of the routes I drive, if that.

Let me offer my theory on the visibility thing, as I've only owned mine for <1 yr and still remember the first several drives:

Overall it's not really an issue, particularly when you are just driving on roads or racing it on the track. Whatever you think about the "cave" or "bunker" effect quickly dissipates after (at least for me) the first 15 minutes. At speed, the car "shrinks around you."

However, parking it and tight turns into narrow driveways or parking lot entrances (with raised curbs) are another matter. I'm relatively tall and I still can't tell where the front of the car ends (head in parking - Oh the splitter) and where the front corners are exactly. Your vision of the environmental obstructions are blocked more by the fender and hood lines than on other cars, which requires your brain to interpolate more "missing data."

I love my car, but at least have to concede these minor points.

I'm guessing that if journalists have to do maneuvering in somewhat tight confines during their testing, this is what they are most reacting to. Either that or they just don't spend enough minutes in the car to get used to it.

I read that article today and had to laugh that we're "those guys" who point at superior performance versus comic book decals and other marketing crap. "Those guys" actually means people who can handle visibility issues to get a better performing car in all arenas, and oh damn, better interior too to go with the aggressive styling!

My Camaro is a pleasure to drive.

I’ve put significant miles on 24 different cars, pickups and SUV’s in my life. My 2021 Camaro has been my favorite.

I agree, adjust your mirrors. If you still have complaints, the car is not meant for you.

Nothing to fix except advertise the damn thing. Many don't even know the Camaro is back. I had a grown ass man pull up to me and ask me what I was driving. WTF does that tell you. How TF can Chevy maximize sells if people don't even know its available. Challenger sells sucked when they came back out. Sales didn't pickup until Dodge started releasing very aggressive performance ad campaigns. Dodge ads were so good I went to the dealer and looked at them. The people that run Chevy are just stupid. Even their online configurator sucks with so many flaws and bad quality images.

Exactly...its a non issue on the road. I am just more careful in parking lots and closed in spaces. Parallel parking not an issue for me.

All you have to do is add a round 2in. spot mirror on each mirror and you can see both sides with no issue.

See what I mean people? It's hopeless.

I strongly side with the last reviewer, Joel Stocksdale. But I would argue that his lone complaint, the visibility, is quickly overcome with a couple days of driving. I remember driving off the lot with my '19 'vert SS, with the top up, was a bit of shock. Damn, that low seating and high hood were an issue, but it didn't take long to figure out the geometry and drive accordingly. Granted, the BLIS and the camera mirror are a huge help in the coupe and when the top is up on a 'vert, but as a daily driver, I'm completely comfortable with the car.

If there's anything it needs, I would want front parking sensors or a 360 overhead cam to help with parking blocks, but it's easy enough to stay careful when parking - it doesn't have the length of a Suburban for chrissake.

Everything else really makes it a damn fun car to drive, day in and day out.

Funnily enough, I learned the SAE mirror trick when I picked up my C7 Corvette as there is no option for a blind spot monitoring system and I really didn't feel like sticking the little mirror things to it. Took me a day or two to get used to the SAE adjustment, but like driving a stick, once you are used to it, you can't go back. It just makes sense.

I still do shoulder checks at intersections to avoid clipping a bicycle or pedestrian since there is still a small blind spot with the SAE method that can possibly hide a bicycle or a pedestrian, but I don't bother with shoulder checks when changing lanes now. Barely even need the BSM on my Camaro.

I agree the issue is blown out of proportion. I was seriously expecting much worse when I first tried out my Camaro - and when I sat in it, it was fine. Not as good as a family sedan, but it was fine. I think the journalists are really overdoing it with their analogies.

Yeh I test drove a Solstice. The Camaro is a lot easier to see out of. I only drove it for maybe 10 min. I probably could have gotten used to that too.
