Nope 1SS is Leather.

I picked up an Alcantara console lid from kropscamaro16.. had some added foam so it's super comfortable.

Don't know, never use the arm rest on the door. Hasn't been an issue in my 2019, and we drove to and from Florida shortly after buying it 2 yrs ago.

Drove a 1SS1LE from Tennessee to CA with my son. In 2.5 days, we never once thought about this. I though the car was great for long trips. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

I can confirm and agree with this. I find the arm rests and seats to be very comfortable.

I drove my 16 2SS home from Detroit. ~400 miles

I drove my 18 2SS to New York. 900 miles in 13.5 hours

I drove my 20 1LE 2SS home from New York. 900 miles in 13.5 hours.

The two 900 miles New York trips were done consecutively. Within 32 hours with 6 hours sleep plus the dealer trade in experience.

My 2SS 1LE shown. The spectrum and footwell lighting are set to green.

The 1SS and 2SS share the same arm rests and console lid. The extra plastic is in the form of the knee bolsters (console and door panels) and at the top of the door panels.

@OP. I suspect your seat adjustment caused your discomfort. The 2SS offers more adjustments.

This provides some prospective. The base 1LS interior

Absolutely, I really thought about upholstering the kneepads after the 1st track day.
