Changing oil and filter

well autumn is almost here so will be changing my oil and filter before i close it down for the winter.
just wondering if the filter change is as easy as it is on the gen5 camaro's?
plus what size the drain plug bolt is?
i know our cars have a under tray.does that need removing to change the oil and filter?
cheers

Same, actually, I like to change my oil once the monitor gets to ~20% and/or before winter.

It’s honestly easier than the gen 5s IMO, the 6s have a canister filter which I feel is much easier to work with. I should note that I have a V6, but I don’t think there’s much difference between the 6 and 8 except for the filter part # and oil volume (someone correct me if I’m wrong). The drain plug is 13mm if I remember correctly, and you shouldn’t have to remove anything on the underside of the car. The plug and filter are easily accessible.

No need to remove the tray, the filter is an easy to handle screw-on type, you can remove it by hand or using a 74mm 15-flute oil filter wrench.

Drain plug size is M12x1.75 mm, and you might want to consider this valve plug to make oil changes easier and less messy: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AMXATSC

Filter's good. Mobil1 dexos 2 full synthetic 5W-30 or 0W-40 will be fine, though it isn't the only option.

Ouch that is expensive but I was thinking it could be more. At least you have some killer roads to enjoy the Camaro on.
