Sold my SS...ZL1 on the way!!!

Good evening Camaro fam!!! As the title states I sold my 2016 2SS and have a 2022 ZL1 at 3400 status with a TPW of 9/13. I am so excited that I can’t stand it. A few questions for the all-knowing Camaro6 community:
—What is a realistic expectation of delivery time based on a build week of 9/13? Obviously the dealer isn’t gonna tell me anything with what all has been going on trying to get cars.
—Doesn’t a ZL1 already come with red seatbelts and black lugs and locks? I ask because those items were listed as options that I had to pay for on the GM workbench order. I paid for them because I wanted to make sure it had them, but again I thought those were standard.
—Can the PDR be set to record every time you start the car or do you have to manually engage it each time?
—What kind of real world mileage are those with the M6 experiencing?
Thanks in advance for any insight into these things. I thought I could sell my SS and be fine for a few months without V8 power and sound but it has been brutal driving my 2021 KIA Soul or my lady’s Rubicon. I am going through major “V8-withdrawals.” I forgot how long the wait seems when you are expecting a custom ordered car.

Congratulations!

As for the red seat belts it seems like it depends on your exterior color choice…

That’s from 2017 but maybe it still applies somehow lol

I'm not sure on delivery time.

It seems now the issue is freight. Due to the backlog of completed cars, plus a shortage of truck drivers it's taking longer to get delivery.

I work for Publix part time and even our deliveries are messed up because they can't find enough truck drivers and have outsource from the outside and hire.

I also heard it's because of actual covid too. Drivers get sick they're shelved while they recover in isolation.

Yea, they got chips now and production lines are fired up, but even if your car is complete it's probably going to sit for awhile until it's able to be shipped. They're still shipping out the 2021s that have been waiting on the lot to go out.

But it's not fair! I WANT A ZL1!!!!!

First, congratulations on your ZL1. Thought about upgrading to one too for quite some time, but most likely will go for a C8 in a few years.

If I see that correctly, black nuts are a $230 option, black locks $95 and red seat belts $195. None of them are included in the ZL1.

Congratulations on your ZL1 purchase Co2SS and you will enjoy that awesome LT4 and M6. My used 2017 had red seatbelts when I bought it which at first I didn’t like but grew to like them over time.

I don’t think anyone has taken delivery of a 22 yet on the board. I am getting close. Mine is built and ready to ship and the dealer plans to request to pick it up as soon as it hit 4150. At this time Chevy says it will be delivered Sept 14th. I live in Lansing so delivery is different for me.

As others have said the seat belts and lugs as you described are options and not standard equipment.

If you’re asking about gas mileage and ZL1….
Your mpg will go from bad (SS) to horrible. Unless you use an 18wheeler for comparison.

In my book bad gas mileage is 1x mpg, horrible is 0x. Even the ZL1 is one notch above that.

As to the gas mileage I pull down 20mpg combined city highway. I've touched 29mpg on the 50 mile average indicator with me, my wife, and the trunk and backseat loaded on a highway trip. So it can be done. That was averaging 70-75mph. With a mostly unladen car and maybe driving a little slower I imagine 30mpg would be possible. Not exciting, but possible.

This is probably on the high side for most ZL-1 owners, but nice to hear it is possible. It all comes down to driving style.

Thanks all! And yeah, I wasn’t expecting much mileage-wise cause my SS was pretty bad, I just wanted to know how much worse it was gonna get.
